Lol and thanks

So should I assume that anyone will be able to buy the base Pro version? Or will it only be reserved for commercial clients?
I love it when a plan comes together.

From alex on autos preview I figure you can buy the Pro retail, in the US at least.

Some people aren't fans of the F150 Lightning's lighting though with the continuous light bar.

This isn't exactly Ford's first EV.

Not their first hybrid, but EV's seem more troublesome. See GM's issues with the Bolt:

Of course it has to do with GM..it's in their car.

I'm sure a Bolt owner will feel little solace when you tell them their broken car isn't really GM's fault...but LGs.    :rofl2:

Electric vehicle have and probably always will have the problem of range and loading time.
But I still think that for an electric vehicle the F-150 Lightning is one oft the best announced jet.

Go home bot, you are drunk.

Happy now ?
I made my name before I saw the thead and haven't noticed (english is not my first language, sry if that boders you).
But I still like the F150. Have you seen Marques Brownlee's video about it? Altleast for now its the best electric picuptruck.
If it's better than a gas-powered one is arguably, but for its category we still have to see the competition do better.

The main problem isn't really that the batteries are bad, it's that GM is weaseling around fixing them, likely because it's looking like doing it right is going to be hugely expensive

Maaaaaybe Ford would be better, but they don't have a great track record on fixing broken stuff if it is going to be expensive for the company

When Apple and Samsung have battery problems, you bet it's on them to fix it. Mind you, Samsung makes their own batteries and people care less on mobile devices as replacement is under $100. $5,000 to $20,000 worth of batteries? Yea GM needs to replace it and then deal with LG.

GM's probably improved a bit compared to 20 years ago when they wanted the electric vehicle industry to fail. They'll put out a product to show they're doing something but they don't care about the sector, they're much happier selling pickup trucks. Well they better start showing they care soon if they want people to buy a Hummer.

I have read on another forum, 2017-2019 Canadian Bolt owners stated a battery software update fix have recently being applied at their dealership.

Source  Bolt EV recall (there is a link to Product safety Recall # N202311731)

"As part of the service procedure, dealers will utilize GM-developed diagnostic tools to identify potential battery anomalies and replace battery module assemblies as necessary.  The remedy will also include the installation of advanced onboard diagnostic software into these vehicles that, among other things, has the ability to detect potential issues related to changes in battery module performance before problems can develop."

Interesting update:

The range of the F-150

The Ford F-150’s range of 230/300 miles depending on which variant you purchase might seem quite low. However, what is interesting is that this range is the EPA estimated rating with 1000 pounds (450 kgs) of cargo in the truck. This means that an empty truck can go a very impressive 450+ miles. Although most truck owners hardly drive around with an empty truck, it does mean that the figures that have been officially released are much closer to what the owners should expect from their F-150 Lightning.

As said before, the whole thought process behind making the truck is to ensure that the current truck owners can switch to electric trucks without an issue. And so far, the F-150 has delivered in this aspect.

I suspect this may be less than accurate.

Having an empty truck will not increase range from 300 to 450 miles. 1000 lb includes passengers too.
