^^^ My sentiments exactly.
i'm guessing (by the tires) it's more an urban ADV bike than anything else...in that, you get the ADV look, riding position, etc, but do sacrifice some off road abilities because of the tires...which is likely fine, hence the "Sport" in the name, which to me implies mostly on-road use.

That sounds about right to me.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

In years past, they would have likely made a "sport touring" model of some sort out of the Trident...since that segment had always pretty popular with buyers.  But these days "Adventure" anything is hot now and sell extremely well.  And so we get an Adventure Touring model.

They'll sell plenty.
yup...they'll sell every single one they make...it's gorgeous.

Hopefully priced not too far from the Trident.

Plus its not a spoke rim.  Although these are really nice for people riding to the cottage and nice country roads
There's definitely an on road bias to this particular Tiger.

I can see them making a higher spec model more biased towards dirt as is the case for other Tigers.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Apparently Triumph is also coming out with a new line of dedicated off road bikes. The dirt and mud and rocks and gravel crowd should be well pleased.  :)

And they aren't dicking around either.

They intend to jump right into racing...and their lead development rider is one of the greatest motocross riders of all time...Ricky Carmichael.

The bonus of that is that it will likely make the off road versions of the Tiger even better.

The $50k CA Hypersport Premier is more of a track ready version of the $30k HS model with Brembo brakes, single sided swing arm, Ohlins suspension, etc. If you're strictly on the road, you don't need that model.

The $20.5k CA ($16,995 US) SE has a 100 mile range and 100 HP. The $25k SX has a 150 mile range and 150 HP. The $30k HS has a 200 mile range and 200 HP model.

sure, but the HiPo one is what was mentioned.

if you're looking for an electric bike in the ~$20k range, Zero has MANY models available and they've been making electric motorcycles for 15 years now.

If you're strictly on the road, you don't need that model.

I think we're past talking about needs vs wants on this forum.

Technically I don't 'need' 5 motorbikes, but here we are...  :rofl2:

I know, the weight is insanely low.

Ignoring the rotary tech for a minute, there is so much other great design on this bike, with the cooling system, the exhaust etc. I wonder how much of this could be translated to other bikes/engine designs.

You can see a lot of engineering brain power went into this.
