Looks great Vman, well worth the wait.  I think you will enjoy this more on a day to day basis than your 1LE.  Here is hoping the FGCs don't rob you of a good owners experience.  It's going to be really tough finding a good replacement for this when the time comes.

Oliver has a BMW 3 series wagon and I think Pi has a Golf Sportwagen, AWD and manual.

I'm pretty sure they do this because DI engines produce a lot of soot, and by having the exhaust tips disconnected, it helps prevent them from getting dirty.

The manual, brown, awd was what all enthusiasts were asking for lol. If only it was manual, brown and AWD I would buy one ... In the end the market spoke and wagon sales in North America were niche at best. I had wagons and SUVs for general family duties and the SUVs ended up being far more suitable for my needs. Now that the kids are older a wagon could fit the bill but I find myself looking at Ford Transit 250 awd cargo instead.
