I too like it in red.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

What’s the color Ron, I can’t tell, putty grey?
There’s a guy in the hood here with a 911 in that putty grey or what I call Battleship Grey.
Medium grey non metallic color. There is some gloss to it though.

Porsche calls that "Chalk".

Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?

chalk is more of a lighter grey, very light. Think white with a few pigments of grey in it.

Yes, I think Adi's eyes are bad. It's more white than gray.

I think the Porsche colors that would be close are Sport Classic Gray and Fashion Gray

You're absolutely right, that's exactly what I'm thinking of. I mixed up Fashion Gray with Chalk.

Funny enough, BMW also calls it "Nardo", because I had an Individual packaged M340i Special Edition tester in the fall that was officially called "Nardo Grey".

I don't know why this type of gray is so appealing to my eye.

It's not a beautiful color in and of itself IMO.

I wonder what Lexus will price this at in Canada? It has a 5.0 liter NA V8 with 472 hp. The BMW 340 starts at 64K ++, the M3 is 85K++, the Lexus RCF is also 85K. The IS500 is an F Sport which is one performance rung below the full F. The IS 300 is 43K++, the IS 350 is 53++. I would hazard a guess that this will be in the 72K-77K range plus packages which will of course be far fewer than those from the Germans plus freight, PDI, taxes. At 65K it will be a steal, but close to 80K it will not be good value at all.

I think you are probably pretty close with that $75k-$80k price range, it won't be as expensive as the RCF.  But I still think at that price it offers good value, when compared to the competition.

Agreed. Still a value at that price. You can get the M340, S4, and C43 over $80K
And none of those have an engine that comes close to this bad boys.

This car reminds me of the E39 M5 with it's NA 4.9 liter V8. That E39 was available with a 6 speed manual too!! And in those years the German's long term reliability quotient was still acceptable. I suspect that the premium this car will command will be entirely due to that fact i.e. most certainly the last NA V8 available in a sedan outside of the geriatric Chrysler products. I mean, even the LS 500 or whatever badge they have on it these days has a 3.5 liter turbo V6!!. Because in terms of absolute performance the BMW 340 and the Mercedes C43 will spank it, let alone the M3 or C63...turbos and AWD vs NA and RWD. But this car is a keeper for sure...Lexus reliability and the last of the RWD NA V8 sedans.

'Spank' it?  This car won't have launch control so a better test will be the 5-60 where the IS500 will have no issue keeping up with these two.

Plus the fact you can keep the Lexus beyond the warranty period without worrying about that legendary FGC thing.

Looks like there will be special launch editions coming to Canada.  Looks like they'll be in that color highlighted earlier and with a different color set up for the seats and trim.  Looks awfully good.

I suppose I should pick my fave IS350 colour.  It's Infared!

Yeah, that's a really nice colour.  Saw a RC-F in that colour last year and it looked stunning!  One of the nicest reds I've seen.

The chalk colour doesn't appeal to me at all for a sporty car.  Better suited to trucks imo.
