Those tires really fill the wheel wells, eh?  You need a 2" lift now to counteract them, lol.

Any rubbing, that you've noticed?

No lift, need to get the bikes in and out easily, plus I love the look as is.  There was a tiny bit of rubbing at full lock on the plastic flap at the front of the front wheel, so I removed it.

No you lift the truck and then carry your bike on a sideways bumper ramp because it is then impossible to load bikes.  That is what all the bro dozers do around here.   ;D

If that was the plan, he should've bought a nice, light Beta instead of that KTM, then.   ;D

Looks great!! I'm guessing you went with the 275/70/18 tire in the end?

Yep. Pretty much the same size as OEM, +3%. It's funny how much bigger they look compared to the 20" wheels and tires. (from page 4) It's just because there is more tire than wheel.

Thanks everyone, apart from Jeff.  :P

i like the beefy wheels...looks more "trucky"...i don't get 20" wheels with low profile tires on a truck...does not compute...they do it with SUV/CUVs as well...those tires should be for sport(y) cars only.

Low profile tires on ta truck/SUV is simply more evidence of the dumbing down of society in general.

Have you noticed much of a difference in road noise?

What about fuel consumption?

No, if anything it's quieter and smoother, which wasn't what I was expecting. No idea about fuel consumption just yet as I've only driven with the bike in the back, I think that averaged 16L/100km.

Are the new tires bigger diameter than the stock size?  If so, you went farther than the odometer says.

Good point, it's +4%, so 15.4L, which is what it was before.

So after taking the cover off for the Summer, I'm trying to get it back on.

I can't for the life of me figure out how the clamps go on the rail?!?

The gap in the clamp is way smaller that the width of the rail edge. Even where there are gaps in the edge. I'm wondering it it was ever properly clamped on at all.

Any suggestions?

No, I didn't take them fully off when I removed it. I just did it with this one to check it wasn't the angle.

Looks like it needs something to adapt it to connect to the Unistrut

I'm 100% sure there was nothing there before... oh well. I just left it 'nearly clamped' properly.

If it flies off on the highway you'll know why.  :rofl2:

What brand is that cover, or is it Toyota OE? I have a lot of contacts in truck accessories (I was the buyer for truck stuff at CT for awhile), so if it's from a manufacture I have contact with I can send them the photo and ask.
