That is one beautiful vehicle.  Does it make you think you'll be ruined by anything you get after this.  Seems like there aren't many vehicles that I would say is a step up from this.

Sir O can say these things look like Audis all he wants but he's dead wrong.

I love these cars. It's sad that the XJ is being replaced by an EV-only model.

My only suggestion would be to black out that window trim. I don't understand why Jaguar has always insisted on chrome or silver window trim for North America going right back to the '95 XJR.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, I am loving driving Bagheera so far. Goes on the highway tomorrow for a bit of a trip, I can't wait. This thing HAULS. Will be interesting to see the fuel economy numbers.

It is a 2015 XJL-R with the 5.0 Supercharged engine, 550hp/502tq. RWD on fat 295s in the rear. It has 82k on it, no more factory or CPO warranty, but will be purchasing an extended 2 year warranty soon for it. It was the first R sold in Ottawa I think, according to the sales manager who also worked at the other LR shop. There are very, very few in the area.

I indeed will be blacking out the window trim soon.

This thing is a tune and a pulley away from 660hp/630tq. I feel no lack of power right now though and for the first time ever I have a car I do not feel I want to mod in any way (blacking out chrome doesn't count).
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

That is one GORGEOUS Sedan right there!!  Well done man, such a sweet sedan.......and very envious over here.  If you don't mind me asking, and certainly feel free to go pound sand, but what did you end up getting this for?  Just really curious is all.  Again though, a beauty of a Sedan......congrats!

Congrats! Car looks great!

Looks really long. How big is it?

 :rofl2:
:rofl2:

I actually didn't mean to be dirty this time.

 :rofl2:

Yeah yeah.

So err... Do you need a bigger tool for that engine? What about a stoker kit?

Thanks man. I paid what the company had in it, not a penny more. They really took care of me in that regard. Have the sales manager and owner to thank. $35k plus tax. I thought it was a lot of car for that money, especially considering its condition and starting price!

They all do, the higher end you go, the more it nosedives. S Class, 7 Series, QP, Contis...even the LS but that has Toyota tax keeping the values higher.

Gorgeous, that's a proper machine! I am assuming the wheels on it are winters? Did you get a set of summers with it?

So the car obviously works  :D

It is a daily, and yeah it is on winter Hakkas, and has a set of summer PS4S. Both 20s.

It has 82k on it.

Can be very useful when using the Black Beast.

Gorgeous car!   I really like the front profile.  That’s how to do a grill!  Quite the upgrade from the IS. Shouldn’t have to worry about kids kicking the back seat either....lol

Congrats and many happy miles!

Very nice. The Jag’s are the best looking cars on the road IMHO.
