Chaos' Black Beast XJL-R
« on: January 22, 2021, 04:01:21 pm »
Took delivery of Bagheera (5 year old approved name, important) today. I am very excited. Lots more pictures to come, and video. First impressions are, of course, it is a fantastic drive and effortlessly very, very fast.

Apparently a $140k car new, and it feels it. It is in fantastic shape and I plan to keep it that way.

Got a chuckle from one of the more jaded techs on the way out, he said "You still are an idiot for buying it, but I totally understand. This car :censor:."

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Black Beast still sounds like a dildo.   ;D

She's beautiful and sexy and I am a wee bit jelly.  That doesn't happen often.

Sick.  Nice car.

Curious about the tech's comment...Not the :censor: part, but the "you're an idiot for buying it" part.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Congratulations.  It is a beautiful car.  I agree with the tech, you are an idiot for buying it, but I can understand exactly why you did.

I wish you a TON of luck with it, and many years of reliable, trouble-free motoring.  Let this car be the equivalent of a Corolla with regards to maintenance and repairs.

Can't wait to see the adventures on this. Serious beast... may you spend more time in it than the service loaner!

I seriously miss my '08 XJR, though since the air ride collapsed on the buyer just days after he bought it, I'm glad I kept the LS after the filthy thoughts I was having.
