It's the free, non-metallic one. Mineral white is the extra-cost metallic.

Yup, it's a great feature and I use it all the time.

Sweet!  Diesels aren't fast but they're really satisfying on highway drives. There's no downshifting for hills and passes are a lazy roll into the throttle.  I like the character of the power delivery.

Looking forward to seeing what kind of fuel economy you get.

Yes, but it was never offered here. Closest thing we got was the 2011-2013 335d sedan which had an I6 turbo diesel. That same engine was also offered in the contemporary X5.

I like it too, and like others, I think the separately openable hatch glass is great.

The "snooze mobile" business comes from our expectations - we have come to expect TheHire to buy some relatively exotic machinery.  The BMW 3-Series is like the Corolla of sports sedans.  Granted, this is a wagon, but you get the picture.

Really though?  Like, yeah, he has some semi-exotic stuff - S2000, Vantage, M5, etc, but those are toys.  All of his daily stuff is 'boring'.  Lexus LS, Yukon Denali, Genesis Sedan, etc.  I'd say a BMW wagon is well in character for a daily vehicle.

LOL!  I don't think of your daily stuff as particularly boring.  The LS and Genesis are hardly commonplace on the roads when compared with a 3-series.
