Mrs. Hire's 328d Wagon
« on: January 13, 2021, 11:33:24 am »
Just signed the papers on a lease takeover for 20 months... an enthusiast/journalist unicorn. Needed something with AWD, since one of my colleagues called dibs on the C30 immediately for his kid who just got her license.

When my Denali arrives, I'll flip out the Mrs. Hire's Genesis and she'll drive this thing...

Picking it up tomorrow.  :)

Here goes...

A wonderful car I have obtained
This poem is all that has remained
Of the beloved C30 that I had for a while
And much like Blueprint, I will tease in a manner that is vile.

Oh FFS, not again, lol.. :rofl2:

Okay, well, It's a unicorn.  I forget, does the wife drive stick?  Are there many vehicles left that would be considered unicorns, and come with manuals?  I mean to me that would be the definition of a unicorn...

The wife does drive stick, since the M5 is her car, but this will be a daily and automatic, with a focus on efficiency.

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

I'm not even going to bother guessing.  I really don't know enough about high end cars to take part in this....

Let me know when somebody gets the right answer, as I do want to know what it is...

I'd hardly call that a unicorn though.

From yesterday:

Interesting times for sure; I'm trying to do a lease takeover for a few months since my Denali is now delayed... and having similar issues. Trying to work a deal on a BMW now and I'm glad that the dealership is going to take care of all the paperwork.

So a BMW of some sort?

Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

The wife would love love love a Volvo wagon again since they're literally her favourite car, but I couldn't find any decent lease takeovers that were worth it.

You have the right body style though...and amount of cylinders.

328d Touring M-Sport

:censor: man, googling this car is a mess.  I tried so hard to find the model/engine, finally came out with 328d.  IS BMW just the most complicated car maker with regards to body styles, engine choices, etc?

Type in '2019 BMW Wagon Diesel' and you come up with a bunch of 2020 sedans with the I6d, or some 2019 330's, etc.  For a guy who doesn't really know BMW nomenclature, it was hard to figure out.
