Yes, the price on theses Conti’s is much better than anybody else I checked. Even TireRack is about the same price but in USD.

That website (and the sister QuattroTires) ALWAYS has a x% off coupon too.

How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

But they don't carry Vredestein unfortunately.   :'(

I ordered these tires, 245/50/19. I will install on the stock wheels. Conti specs confirms it’s ok to install on 7 inches rims. Hard to find aftermarket wheels with a 2000 lbs capacity.

Figured they skinnier tires were an efficiency decision.  Wonder if you will (or have already?) noticed any difference with the slightly wider ones.  The skinny ones were certainly easy to break loose!

Not installed yet. I’m looking for wheels. Hard to find aftermarket with the proper load rating. Since a 103 tire with a load rating of 1900 lbs is specified, I don’t find it clever to mount them on 1500 lbs rated wheels. I have found properly rated wheels, they are BO but should be back in stock soon.

Uh oh!!   ;D

https://www.motorbiscuit.com/watch-embarrassed-ford-mustang-mach-e-fail-moose-test/

But wait...the low centre of gravity of these new performance EV's is way better than a gas counterpart!

 ;D

No surprise here, somehow Ford spec'd the Mach-E with tires that would have been more adequate for a 1990 chrysler minivan. That's why I threw them away and installed Continental Extreme contacts in 245 vs the stock 225's. Now I don't know if it would pass the test with those tires but I can tell you I take a particular curve on the way to the city  20-30 kph faster than before the tire switch without crapping myself anymore.  ;D

For the glass roof and windshield recall I did notice during my shopping that glass roof install was not consistent from one car to the next; that became my selection criteria for which Mach-E to buy and why I ended up with a black one. I now think it's the best color for that car now. I will not bother with the recall unless I get a rock in the windshield and it need a replacement anyway.

He accelerated around a blind corner from 42 to 72 on an open road and underestimated the power and acceleration. (his first time driving an EV) As he corrected, he slammed into the back of a parked pick-up at 72 mph.

So there was a random pick-up truck parked on a highway just where the lost control? Ya right. Thinking there is a lot of embellishment in that story.

Spent about a month with the Mach-E GT. Absolutely in love with it as a daily driver... but I'd just get the regular Premium AWD or whatever with the big battery.

Why not just a Model Y instead?

I will not buy a Tesla out of principle; the amount of deception out of that company is just too much to warrant supporting them.

It's a shame, because the last Model 3 I drove was actually a nice-driving automobile, small quality issues aside.

Ford Halts Mustang Mach-E Deliveries

https://insideevs.com/news/592075/ford-mustang-mache-safety-recall-stop-sale/

As reported by Mach-E Forum.com, Ford has recognized a problem with the Mustang Mach-E that warrants a safety recall. However, there is reportedly no current fix available. The forum points to a lack of parts for the fix, though Ford also mentions upcoming software and repaid instructions. In the meantime, Ford has issued a stop-sale of related vehicles.

FORD Official take, "Here are the main details in the recall notice we filed with NHTSA, which should be on their website. Please note it is not a stop sale. Dealer can still sell. They just can’t deliver the vehicle. No different than any other safety recall notice. It is a delivery hold.

On affected vehicles, Direct Current (“DC”) fast charging and repeated wide open pedal events can cause the high voltage battery main contactors to overheat. Overheating may lead to arcing and deformation of the electrical contact surfaces, which can result in a contactor that remains open or a contactor that welds closed. An overheated contactor that opens while driving can result in a loss of motive power, which can increase the risk of an accident.

The remedy for this program is a Secondary On-Board Diagnostic Control Module (SOBDMC) and Battery Energy Control Module (BECM) software update. Ford is anticipated to begin Over-The-Air (OTA) deployment to update the SOBDMC an BECM software for affected vehicles next month. Alternatively, owners will have the option to take their vehicle to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to complete the software update.

There are no open investigations with NHTSA.

This action affects 48,924 vehicles in the U.S."

Imagine making a vehicle you can't fix.  ::)

No wonder why OEMs are crying for more EV tax breaks/credits....

They are losing (lots) of money on every one they sell...
