Imagine if 10 years ago a fortune teller said you'll drive a 5 sec to 60 Mustang but with 4 doors and a hatch, and "it looks like an SUV"...  :rofl2:

Just did a 250 km trip with it to pick up something in Trois Rivieres rather than pay $20 shipping.  ;D

Cost me about $4.00 in electricity. Look how much I saved, the car will pay for itself!  :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

The car is great on highway runs, cruise at 118 all the way and back. Did a quick charge there just to test, charged at 75 kW for 12 min, went from 66% charge to 80 while I was picking up my part and a water bottle. 😎

The very long wheelbase makes it a great highway car. I don’t miss the Volvo seats that much after all.

I think Smart Electric has taken the same math class  ;D

With the current gas prices though it must be a joy to drive around and not worry about a thing

In Ontario it would cost $69.99  ;D

A car that makes me money while I drive it?  Sign me up.  Love the colour combo!  The interior is very nice, simple but elegant.  This is the best Ford on the market.

https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1132487_ford-is-making-more-mustang-mach-e-electric-suvs-than-gasoline-mustangs
Already? The paradigm shift  came faster than expected ! (Let see if it remains and increase over time...)

"According to Automotive News, citing recent data from Ford, the automaker built 27,816 Mustang Mach-E SUVs through May, versus 26,089 gasoline Mustang models during the same period.

Whoa, pony; it’s not quite what you think. The gasoline Mustang still outsells the electric version in the U.S. by about three to one, and production of those gasoline models has been stymied by supply chain issues.

A few more observations.

At 5000 pounds you won’t confuse it for Mazda Miata on a very twisty road with lots of sharp bends. Rear wheel bias is very nice and helps until traction control kicks in. 225’s are way too skinny for this car.

Not a big fan of the rotary dial to select gears, it works but you have to look at it, it’s not natural.

Phone as a key works quite well and the fob stays at home now. Wireless CarPlay is also nice.

The native navigation works also very well, very similar to Google Maps with traffic, road work, recharge stations , etc.

Sound system is great, ambiophonic sounds work well. On a live album the band was in front and the crowd in the back, as it should.

Interior fit and finish is world class. Nice materials well put together. Really world class.

The car is a great long distance cruiser, a great place to be for multi hours stints.

Very pleased with my purchase.

Looking forward to long term updates.  I have a growing cadre of friends with EVs and their satisfaction seems directly correlated to their geographic location, thanks to some places have lots of chargers, fast chargers, etc, and some places not so much.  Friends and family in BC lower mainland seem to be able to live with an EV very easily, prairies is a more mixed bag.

This crop of "mainstream" not-Tesla EVs are leading the charge (LOL) to EV acceptance as you can buy them from a dealer, you own them and will be able to service and repair them like any other car.  This and the new small truck are two of the most interesting things Ford has made in ages.

This is the Mustang my wife wants now.  If I never go back to the office...it might be a good choice so the truck can sit in the garage.  That's $4000 in fuel a year right there if not more, at current prices ($135+ fill ups  :P :-\).
