Since I'm too lazy to rewrite all this..

https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/polestar-or-mme.1375/page-5#post-69338

I like a lot the red of the Mach-e as posted. Cars are becoming more & more software on wheels, sustained by hardware. OTA is the way to go.

Did you have a chance to test drive the Mach-e yet?

So I recently drove the Mach-E but can't talk about it yet.

I reviewed the Polestar 2 a couple of weeks ago and man, the range drops hard in the winter. Great car, but 200-250 realistic kilometres in the winter (still above freezing) is just too little for what it costs.

So, if you were in my shoes you would go with the Mach-E?

So, if you were in my shoes you would go with the Mach-E?

That would definitely be my recommendation.

From a purely range perspective, I've mentioned before that my mom got a Kona EV this past fall. Real world range is rated around 420km, and we're seeing winter mileage around ~350.

I got 500km in April, but I have booked the Soul EV in late January '21 for a good cold soak.

Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach the man to fish and he wakes you up at 5 in the morning.

Apparently straight pipes and a bunch of reviewers are going to release their test drives of the Mach E tomorrow.

Same with us at DoubleClutch.ca... the embargo lifts tomorrow.

It’s a surprisingly handsome look that really has to be seen to be believed.
Exactly!  Easily the best angle to view this car, looks great to me :

many electric cars are forced to make do with what feels like an athsmatic hamster buried in the dashboard, feebly coughing on the occupants through a straw. Not the Mustang Mach-E, for its occupants will be just as comfortable in winter as occupants in a combustion-powered car.

Um, which EV's are bad?  My Smart produces hot air within 15 seconds and the cabin is easily able to sustain 30C interior with -20C exterior.
Our Tesla is even more impressive, can melt snow off the entire car with pre-heating.

Plenty of EVs suffer from weak heaters. I drove my mom's Kona EV to Woodbridge just yesterday and it's a prime example.

FORD E-Probe FTW  ;D

Agreed!

Seems like a solid offering in the EV space.    But the name....  Isn’t everyone just going to end up referring to this as the “Mach-E” and never use “mustang”?  Such an odd decision, my mess with that long earned brand cache for something that seemingly wont benefit at all from such branding?    Maybe it’s just the mustang logo vs the blue oval?

Agreed Ron, depends on one's priorities.

It sure is the sole Ford product I would, and do consider to buy.
