^what he said. Awesome work.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Firm is such a dichotomy, eh?

He's all Budweiser and Mullets with his F-Body cars, and then he's fat stogies and 'trash collection' with his Caddies.  Then with the MG's and Jags he's all bowler hats, tea and crumpets.

Thanks for the kind words guys, there was more work on this one than I thought going into it, but you just don't find unrestored MGAs this nice anymore, anywhere. Having it parked at my parents meant there were a lot of hands on it to get it in top shape rather quickly. My mom, who sold her nearly identical (down to the colors) roadster a few years ago has fallen pretty hard for it, so it may end up sticking around in the family.

lol, GBA - I just like what I like and I tend not to stray too far from those 3 automotive groupings....

Awesome work!

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

Well, brakes are done, wheels are back on, chrome work is done and back on, interior is button up. Need to mix up some paint match and touch up a few nicks, and tackle a handful of other small jobs, but otherwise it's ready for the summer. Span it around a few times and it's one of the better running/driving MGAs I've experienced. Mechanically it feels very fresh and tight, starts instantly cold (with choke) and warm (no choke), shifts well, no weird noises, etc.

Love the looks on this car.

Timely Hagerty buyer's guide video.

The MG MGA is a romantic’s race car | Buyer’s Guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j48EFzosuk4

I owned a 1957 1500 for a short while back in the late sixties. It was a fun car, but back then I didn't have the coin to afford more than one car, and the MGA was definitely not a Canadian winter driveable car.
