The more interesting vehicles manufacturers produce the better. It doesn’t have to be loved by everyone. Also glad that not only Tesla is willing to break out of the same-old-same-old; good for them.

100% agree.

Moan and whine about blah blah CUVs...then this comes out....more moaning and whining
I love it when a plan comes together.

The funny thing is, all these cars/trucks are getting bigger on the outside, whilst the inside is staying fairly similar due to crash protection regs etc.

The new Bronco looks massive on the outside, but it's that big on the inside.

And this Hummer will weigh well over 5,000lbs for sure. The people near me can't make it around icy corners in SUV's as it is.

I'd be shocked if it weighs less than 7000 pounds.

Does seem very much like an Avalanche, and I've never met an Avalanche owner that didn't love theirs

In the USA isn't there a weight limit when a pickup truck moves into a different category? Or am I remembering a tax loop hole that allowed people to write off their trucks up to a certain weight limit.

Honestly, as someone who drives cars, this doesn't do much to stifle that whining at all. It basically is the same thing (high riding, AWD, family vehicle that is not sporty or sleek).

At least it is a little different I guess. I dig the T-top for the rear.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

I don't hate it but this thing is wasteful. Over 200kWh worth of cells could be more than enough to make 3 normally sized long range EVs. Good news in Canada it will likely cost around 150,000 so I don't expect to see too many on the road.

. The fact they got this out before anyone else is a big deal.

It's still vaporware, dude.  Just as real as the Cybertruck.

I freaking love this thing.

I love cars, I love real trucks, I love real 4X4s.  And I love chunky, boxy vehicles because; Volvo fan - DUH!  It's 99% of the CUV-SUV's on sale that I can't stand.

Like someone said, this has the potential to be the S-Class of the pick-up world, with the tech trickling down.

And launching this as a Hummer is a brilliant marketing move.

And as for nobody needing it, come TF on.  I essentially drive a 5-cylinder, 227hp, 1995 Honda Civic that originally retailed for $39,000 that is less practical than a '95 Civic, as it only seats 4 and has pretty miserable cargo space when the back seat isn't folded down.  I don't "need" any more car than a Mistu Mirage.

"Stupider like a fox" often makes this world more fun and interesting.
