Why does everything 'Murican have to have those sharp edges and look 'ruggedized'? Like that ADV Harley..?

IKR? It's not a total break from the past like the latest Discovery, G-Wagen, or Samurai.

Bloody GM trying to do the "retro styling thing."

You'd think they would have taken a clue from LR, Benz, and Suzuki and learned to innovate by now...

I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

LOL! I don't think the G-Wagen has ever changed design has it?

Glad you took this the way I had hoped!

Well M-B did add two extra wheels to a version of the G, so they deserve a little praise...

About the same for a loaded up Super Duty/Ram 1 ton LTD/Sierra Denali.

I think trucks and SUV's are becoming the new status symbol vehicles. Rich? Don't buy a sedan....buy the most expensive truck you can find!

Why do I see (starting with the extra-terrestrial appearance in the animation video), a kind of Arnold's big fat vehicle coming directly from the lastest to come Terminator movie?  ::)

Even if 1,000 Hp model is equipped with 3 electric motors, this 11,500 Lb-ft c/w 35" tires puzzled me !  Need to put down some numbers ...

I actually like the design of this vehicle more than the Cybertruck.  I think they'll sell a boat load of these.  I wonder just how good off road it'll be, maybe that's where it'll differ so much from the Cybertruck.

Looks like the ideal rig for cruising around Isla Nublar.

I kinda dig it.

After the iPad on the dash, we now have the TV on the dash! Man that thing is HUGE (and what about those sharp edges in a crash  ??? )

Given the intended market, it's a great pr move to introduce electric trucks in the form of a blingy, expensive, macho, fast & off-road capable halo vehicle with MOAH POWER. So, you know, break the stigma that EV's are for sissy democrats  ;)

Easier market acceptance of electric Silverados to follow.

Newest compensation-mobile. 'MURICA.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

LOL! I don't think the G-Wagen has ever changed design has it?

The 2019 model is literally all new but obviously looks mostly the same. It's substantially wider than before though.

I do think the Hummer looks pretty good. Certainly a million times better than the Cybertruck. I'd like to see them build a smaller version of this eventually. More of a Jeep/Bronco competitor with an EV drivetrain. And I'm guessing an SUV version isn't far behind.

Come to think of it, I have a Hummer in the driveway once every two weeks - the cleaning lady's H3 trucklet (she drives a same-era 500SL in the summer).

On the enviro specs.

If a 200kwh battery produces about ~30 tons of CO2 to produce, that's about the equivalent of 13,000L of gasoline, correct?

At my 55L per week (not any more but hey), that's 4.5 years of driving just to offset the battery alone?
