Same here, not liking that at all. Everything else looks appealing, 10X better than what it replaces.

The last one was too gaudy, this one is too conservative. Honda just can't win.  ;D

Not with some people, it can't.  At least it doesn't look like a catfish.

Anyway, these are really crappy pictures.  I'm reserving judgement until official release pictures come out.

FWIW I liked the previous gen sedan. It's the hatch that was barf-inspiring.

This new one looks more boring than a freaking Corolla.

You can get the "Apex Edition" package for the Corolla now.

This new generation looks horrible!  All of the fake vents!  A hodgepodge, mix mash, of body lines!

Honda removes them.

Looks so generic.

Ugly is ugly.

In a sense Honda can't win with the "internets"  ;)

I think it looks good and if it does so in a crappy flip-phone picture, it will look great in person.

Have to agree, but doesn't that just look like a modern interpretation of an older VW Golf?

No..the Golf was in interpretation of the Civic.

Civic came first.   ;)

More like the 1980 Civic.

You may be right but I don't remember those.  Did they outsell the Golf/Rabbit of that time?

I'm finding this thread to be a sad commentary on automotive design over the past 40 years. It underscores how Japanese designers, at least Toyota and Honda, go from one extreme to the other, after enduring design failures.

I have to disagree with Bubba, to me that "bubble" of a Honda car is also cringe worthy  :hurl:  Notably the wheels, ugly as sin. What focus group produced these black ugly wheels?
