A forum member is there now on my behalf...with an appointment booked a day in advance..and car isn't ready.

Oh..and they mentioned a $500 prep fee not mentioned anywhere in the ads.  And the sales manager (who called me first) is a pushy swerver.

Again...car lots are stuck in the 70s.....FFS.

That's why I often use the APA broker for new cars - fleet pricing, no bs, no upsale, no "commercial director", etc.

Holy Crap, those things hold their value.  It's a 10 year old compact car with 100 000 kms selling for almost $13k.  To put it into perspective, that's what I paid for the Altima when it was only 4 years old and had 50 000kms.  I understand it's a Lexus, and also has a hybrid drivetrain, but yeah, that's not what I would call good value for what is basically just a corolla.

I don't think a comparable Audi A3 or BMW 1-Series would be cheaper. That price point seems about right for that age and mileage when it comes to compact luxury cars.

It's that hybrid Corolla HS250, I hope. Should be a fantastic car for no drama commuting.

Yeah hybrid small Lexus for sure, and would be on my list too if I wasn't looking in the entirely opposite direction for my IS300 replacement

The CT seems like a good little runabout.
