Part of the reason for choosing to drive a bug luxury sedan is ample room for back seat passengers.  That takes a pretty big hit in this vehicle.  I get the appeal of the G80 and I get (but don't share) the appeal of EVs.  I just don't get the appeal of a big luxury sedan with a small back seat.

Seems like there should be an "L" version for the electrified car.  Maybe not a big enough production volume to bother making a stretched wheelbase car, though.

I watched the Savage Geese video on this one, though, and pretty agree it looks like a fantastic place to spend your commute.

I miss the back seat room and trunk volume of my Genesis, among many other things. Gas mileage - not so much. It seems like a matter of time before they make a full size Genesis sedan on a dedicated EV platform. If it comes with solid state cells, I will be very tempted

Oh for sure - dedicated EV platform where they plan from the ground up to accommodate batteries and passengers and luggage - no downside. It's a gorgeous sedan that I would otherwise prefer to the Tesla in every single way.

And I'm kinda thinking if they can build what looks to be a pretty amazing electric vehicle on a platform that wasn't designed for it, just imagine what can be done without these restrictions!
