I have 15” winters on the wife’s 3 and could probably do the same with the summer tires too, but I like the design of the stock 16” wheels. My 5 needs 16” minimum due to larger brakes.

However, if I ever found the 19” R3 wheels that were optional on the RX-8 for a decent price, I’d so grab them for my 5. They will at minimum cost what I paid for my 5 so AirBalancer can finally make fun of me for real. They weigh less than 20 lb each though and look so good.

I have a pair of RX-7 FD wheels.

They weigh under 14lbs.

Yeah, I don't see why you can't just have a shop patch it. Apparently even Mr. Lube has the tools to patch a flat if it's not on the sidewall.

The problem is that BMW says run-flats are not repairable: as soon as you get a flat, it’s time for a new tire. And from what I understand, even some tire shops will refuse to patch a run-flat.

Hi
Here is what happened. On Sunday morning we drove to the first gas station on the way and inflated the tire to 38 psi. TPM went green. It allowed us to drive for a little bit over an hour until tpm signalled again. Stopped at another gas station and repeated the operation. Then we drove home with no incident. Now looking for a garage to repair the tire as it is punctured in the flat part.
Voilà

Plus run flats ride like sh*t...
