Hi: Thanks for the feedback so far!!! A few questions about dealer trades 1) Can/will dealers "trade" demo's with another dealer? What cost is reasonable for the trade...say from T.O to London Ont?Thanks for any idea's

i doubt a dealer will trade a demo with another dealer...it's essentially a used car...if you are in London, and you want a car from Toronto, just go there and check it out/buy it...Toronto isn't that far away (2 hour drive).
When you've lost the argument, admit defeat and hit the smite button.

Hi: Again thanks so far for the feedback!!Decided pretty much on the Avalon 2019 if can find one....white is plentiful(sort of,LOL) not sure like it in white so looking around found a blue one in T.O.Would like to take advantage of the 5k cashback on the '19's.So there is the update!!! One question was told by a dealer that if wanted a '20 would get my color as Toyota has them but only if the customer orders it(could take 2 weeks but was told more likely just a few days (guessing if true in some of a compound???Can someone confirm this?Again thanks

They're made in the USA, so if the plant is running...probably wouldn't take too long.

But I'd want a firm commitment on their part for a fairly specific date...otherwise they might just shrug their shoulders and say "Sorry, Covid! Nothing we can do! "
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Thanks!!I agree about the 20 model(Wait times but would give them a deadline & have it written into contract)...but if can get myself to like the pearl white color with the black interior or the blue one with same interior(really like the blue one) but got the feeling that the dealer was playing games with the price.Given what is going on these days driving 2 hrs to T.O & then being told that the price has changed would too happy!!Going to try to neg. on line with emails...going to Kitchener/Guelph area Monday to look at the White one

I test drove a car with cooling seats before and I honestly didn’t like it. It made me too cold.

Hi: Thanks for all the replies!!!Working out a deal to get a dark blue(forget the color name,LOL) 2019 XSE.....will post a review of the car later on after having it for a bit!!!It seems tho the OEM tires (Bridgestone) Turanza EL440 are not a very good tire at all(hydroplaning seems to be a major problem!!!So I'm thinking of replacing the tires before pick up car as sliding off the road is not my idea of fun!!

What brand of tire would you guys recommend I've gone on tire rack there are a few very good choices...looking to be frugal not cheap!!!Thanks again will post pics when have the car!!!

I've always been a fan of Michelin or Continental tires.

Good ones for an Avalon would be Continental Purecontact LS or Michelin Primacy MXM4. You can sell the Bridgestones on Kijiji which would help pay for the new tires.

When I bought my VW Jetta GLI I got the dealer to install different tires as I wasn't a fan of what it came with stock.  Why not seeing if they could work into the deal switching to a different tire that you approve of.  As far as what I would recommend I'd likely see what is highest rated on Tirerack.com and having that installed.

This will save you from having to sell the Bridgestones on your own, likely at a fraction of their value.

^^ Did your dealer give you money for your stock tires? Mine said they weren’t interested: said that even with only 3 km on them, they were still “used” and they couldn’t sell used tires.

The dealer did install the new ones for me, but put the “old” ones in the back and I sold them myself on Kijiji.

Depending on location, new tires should be an easy sell. Friends got $400 for the tires off their Kia van with 5,000 kms on them. Took about a week to sell.

The dealer didn't give me money for the old tires, they just did a straight swap.  This of course was dependant on which tires I selected, if I had chosen a really expensive tire they would have expected me to make up the difference.  Luckily the OEM tires had enough value that I swapped them for some General G-MAX RS summer tires.

Google for the brochure for the model you want and if you can find one, it should answer your question about the sensors.

You can also download owner's manuals at www.toyota.ca.

i'm guessing it's called the "Intelligent Clearance Sonar" for the Avalon...if that's what they call the parking sensors, it is only on the Limited trim.

ICS is the usually an optional auto braking part of park sensors in Toyota/Lexus speak, I usually check the bumpers for sensors to see if it has the sensors themselves
