Well apparently, Musk could be poorly making the interior out of orphans and it wouldn't matter to the fan boys

Which is the kinda stuff hipsters care about...

Leather is mostly a by-product of meat industry unless we are talking about very very exotic stuff. Most cars don't use very exotic stuff, in fact a lot of other cars use synthetic leather/leatherette for cost-reduction.

Again, it's nothing new and yet they try to make it look "innovative", just like EV isn't a new idea; it existed a long time ago as well.

You missed the point, Tesla specifically doesn't have to focus on it's interior, because the car sells with the most minimal interior in the industry, the others (gas) are stuck trying to "innovate" on interior because that's all they can innovate on.  #sad    :'(

Oh we got your point alright; we just don't care.  Everything you post is now tainted by your monotonous and shrill screed.

Why not put aside your Tesla lust and just enjoy the post for what it is, OK?  Who knows, you might learn something.

Agree that interior looks good. Not going to help sales though. People would rather drive a Nissan Kicks or Cashcow.  :'(

NEW!

Tesla ranked in J.D. Power 2020 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study,SM released yesterday.
Shows up top of the pack (!).

Tesla profiled for first time: Tesla receives an APEAL index score of 896. The automaker is not officially ranked among other brands in the study as it doesn’t meet ranking criteria. “Unlike other manufacturers, Tesla doesn’t grant us permission to survey its owners in 15 states where it is required,” said Doug Betts, president of the automotive division at J.D. Power. “However, we were able to collect a large enough sample of surveys from owners in the other 35 states and, from that base, we calculated Tesla’s score.”

Well it'd technically be their 26k trim, but I don't see diamond stitching as an option here. In the US, it's part of the SV Premium Package which we don't seem to have here.

Which makes the data kinda hard to interpret... Why exclude those 15 states?

Plus, that data is based off subjective owner surveys, rather than anything objective.  There aren't any car fans more rabid than Tesla owners.  Most of them won't have a single bad thing to say about their cars, hence the strong showing.

I find that interior quite upscale and striking given the vehicle.  Bravo to Nissan.

I know, when you drive a Tesla, it's hard to find fault with the drive train and tech, but to the point of this thread, owner surveys are a legitimate source of proof an auto maker got the balance right for interior design and aesthetics.

Johnny hates Tesla interiors in his review of the new Polestar linked directly to the interior section.   But he loves Tesla drive trains and performance... to each their own
