So, to copy/paste what I said in the other thread...

Sold my other half's A4 while it was still worth something. Was a nice car while we had it, but she'd had it four years to the day and it was time for a change. Oil consumption is rampant on those 2.0 engines, and the lack of a rear-view camera, Apple CarPlay, etc. was getting old.

We bought a 2020 Genesis G70 Elite; Uyuni White on the Caramel Brown real leather. She's always wanted a white car with a brown interior. Frankly, I'm lucky to have a partner that supports my habit of buying old crap... she deserves a white car if she wants a white car. Sorry about the terrible interior picture; I'll try to do better. Got the windows tinted and the car ceramic coated.

Debated hard between the 2.0T and 3.3TT, but figured we'll go with the 2.0T for now. The Elite has the eight-inch touchscreen, 15-speaker Lexicon audio, heated and cooled seats, etc. The Genesis Connected Services also means it has remote start, et al through the app for five years.

The lame blue plate is temporary too... it'll get her plates this weekend.

Also, the G70 was the DoubleClutch.ca Car of the Year when it launched...  ;D ;D ;D

I like the wheels...

Keep the blue plates...they don't work with photo radar/red light cameras apparently!

That's a negative... though I may toss them on the garage wall as souvenirs. Have 12 or 15 plates on there now...

That's one nice looking car.  Genesis have their stuff together.  Was there any other cars that were in the running?  I know you got a screaming deal on this one and that probably played a huge role.

Very sweet ride - I'm sure she will enjoy it.  And I agree that white with tan / taupe / brown leather is a killer combo.  There's a lady at the GO station who has the same car as mine but with tan leather instead of charcaol - makes me a bit jelly.

Aren't all trim levels equipped with real leather?  I know with many of the Germans, pleather is standard and the real stuff costs extra.  I thought the G70 came with real leather standard, and nicer (nappa) leather on upper trims.

I'd also like to hear what other cars were considered and what the screaming deal was.  ;D

Great looking car, a standout in the class. I like that I can look at it and know right away what it is...unlike many other vehicles in this class/size "Is that a Maser....no an Inf....no its a Maz....no it is a Kia!"

Thanks for the info.  Is this the only Genesis model with synthetic leather on the base model?
