You could always get the GTI Rabbit in that cool blue color.  Have you considered maybe a Golf R with one of those custom colors, I'm sure there are a few online with a manual.

If you love the vehicle that you currently have I think it might be a good option.  Maybe buy it out and in a year get the new GTI.

No sunroofs in the Rabbit or R keeps them off the table, unfortunately. If the R had a sunroof it would be a no-brainer though.

Should probably just get this and be done with it: https://www.autotrader.ca/a/bmw/3%20series/kanata/ontario/19_11467625_?showcpo=ShowCpo&ncse=no&orup=2_4_4&sprx=-1&modalXS=1

If you need someone to go take a look let me know... I'm sure there are other bored car forum folks who'd like to drive a bmw manual wagon too  ;D

Thanks! Just not sure how I'd get it home right now. Usually I have no problem hopping on a plane to pick up a car.

Nice!  The guy who owns the indy where i take my Z3M has one that looks just like this as his dd.  Not sure of the year.  If you are serious you can give him a call to discuss it with him.  I talked to him before buying the Z3M.  He's very knowledgeable about all FGCs and a great guy to talk to in general about cars.  He's the one who talked me out of buying a Boxster.  ;D

Right I forgot about that being a deal breaker for you.  All the more reason to keep your current Mini and in a year get the new GTI or Golf R which will both be available with a large sunroof.

Unfortunately car storage is not something I can offer... though I would drive it back for you next time I head to Fredericton  ;D .. which is whenever the restrictions ease up a bit.

I think you'd have no problem getting out of NB it's just coming back that'll be the issue... I think there's still the mandatory 14 day self isolation from other provinces.

OMG, they have the worst parking lot ever.  It's way too tiny.  First time there i drove in with my big F-150 and took a lot of maneuvering to get back out.

Yeah, that's the thing. The self isolation thing would be really annoying although doable. I could also look into shipping it.

Stupid COVID, normally this would be the perfect opportunity for my wife and I to fly to Ottawa and see friends in Montreal on the way home and/or drive through Vermont for some delicious beers and awesome scenery.  ;D

Edit: Just looked up the BBS RGRs that he has on that car. Currently a set of staggered 18s costs $3k USD from Tire Rack.  :o

No idea.  I'll be taking the Z3M there for annual service probably next week and will check.  I only know he owns it because i see him driving it all the time.  He lives just down the road from me so i see him quite often and always in that wagon.  There are actually a few 3-Series wagons i see around my area on a regular basis.

Cool, I'd appreciate that.

I messaged the guy in Kanata about his wagon. We'll see what he says but it sounds like a fairly solid buy to me. Definitely enthusiast owned and sounds well taken care of.

BMW 335i/340i - This is what I was set on getting when I got the Clubman instead. Could go for a cheaper, higher KM 2014 (preferably an M Performance) or a newer, CPO 340i. I'm particular about what I want - needs the right options, needs a manual, prefer a good colour (definitely no silver or grey, preferably not black or white).

Have you seen this one?

https://www.autotrader.ca/a/bmw/3%20series/mississauga/ontario/19_11444377_?showcpo=ShowCpo&ncse=no&ursrc=hl&orup=1_1_1&pc=L4H%203C9&sprx=100

OR

E90/E91 3-series - Cheap. There was an '07 328i manual, sport package, RWD sedan for sale here recently. Under 80k and $9k asking price. Would be fun, practical enough, fairly easy to maintain. I actually really like this idea. It would be ideal to get an '09+ wagon with a manual and the sport package but they fetch more money than I'd want to spend on a 10 year old car I think.

This one seems like a nice unit in the category (black, but that mint saddle brown interior looks good):

That E90 is clean. Not many one owner nine year old BMWs.

I'd say most E90s are on their third-fourth owners by now, usually abused by young guys.

Just learned last night that someone I know is handing back his loaded white on red  2017 M3  with only 25K km. The residual on the car is around $45K.

I wish I was in the market for a car like that.... or anything this guy drives.....

Let me know when you sell it. ;D The E9x and E8x generation is the last of the heavy hydraulic steering BMWs.

Very good value if you could get that car for $45k plus taxes!

I’m guessing it will be on the BMW lot for around $60k.  Tidy little profit for the dealer and/or BMW FS.

Yeah, I saw both of those. That F30 is very nice but I feel like the price is a bit too high. I've seen some M Performance Edition cars for closer to $25k with similar or fewer KMs. I do have a price change alert set on that car.

That E90 looks to be in great shape but unfortunately it doesn't have the sport package. Most 2011 328s are the "Executive Edition" cars that are mostly loaded but lack the sport package. Only early 2011s offered the sport package.
