Out of boredom at one point yesterday I went on Kijiji to check what's out there for used alloy wheels for the GTI for my winter setup. I prefer VW OEM alloy from a Golf MK7 and I deliberated long and hard with myself if I should go for 16" or 17". In the end I decided to go for 16" so I have a bit more sidewall.
I found these 16" Toronto VW OEM wheels that came on Golf Comfortline and I'm thinking to make an offer:
https://www.kijiji.ca/v-view-details.html?adId=1495071324 The seller states OBO so I would offer a bit less under asking - $400 would be my upper ceiling provided the wheels don't have major scuffs or curb rushes. From picture it looks like one wheel may have a small curb rush (the one on the left) and the ones in the back are partially covered. I asked the seller to send me full picture of each wheel before I decide to make the trip (awaiting....).
I have to say I like the design of that wheel and I know it fits my GTI (my steelies are 16"). The offset on these is 46mm vs 49-51mm on dedicated GTI wheels but I don't think this is an issue (or hope so).
Thoughts?
