mmret hasn’t been around for a while either.

SaskspecV hasn’t posted either. Wasn’t a prolific poster, but was sensible at least, and from SK so pretty cool.  :P
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Another person I miss is Julie but can see that she has been crazy busy lately. Keep up the good fight if you are still reading the boards.

I wonder why Johngenx hasn't posted in a while.  Been over a month.  Hope all is ok.

I see the last time he was active was March 4th, but I am not sure what that means.
I am wondering if he took a break after spilling his liberal BS all over Vmango, including using some threats....maybe banned for life?

WUT?

Maybe he meant Cadure?  They had a bit of an exchange.  I dunno .  Or maybe just more Tauri :censor:.
Ohhh you might be right, maybe it was Cadure!!

Sorry folks....I can’t find the post anymore as well, got deleted perhaps?

Well, we are not all missing, at least not totally gone forever. I read the recent posts on here weekly, but find I have little to say about cars et al these days.

But, as to real missing persons, I see many of the "old gang" but notably absent are Johngenx, Snowman and Wing. Now I think I know that Snowman passed some time ago, cancer IFICC. But Johngenx has been absent almost a year now; and Wing several months.

Just curious.

No news here really, same old Covid shuffle..........low profile, Netflix, read books. etc. etc.

Seventeen months to go on my 2018 BMW 340i MPerformance Edition. No idea what happens then............I will be 78 then, and not as involved in autos as I was formerly.

Anyway, Cheers, and carry on.

Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach the man to fish and he wakes you up at 5 in the morning.

Great to hear from you Ovr50.      Same for me. 75 last birthday, staying at home, Mrs Tpl not at all well.    Fewer and fewer cars of interest but I will go and drive a VW ID4 when they arrive.

As everything goes electric over the next decade I’ll probably find myself not caring anymore. I’ll be around 50 and ready to accept my fate in a horrible electric SUV covered in fuxking screens. But it will be fast 0-60  ::) :P

I just hit 50 & am starting a collection of V8's instead  :P  Truth be told, you'll have most likely more time as you get older for cars as the kids won't be taking as much of your time up, and still have time for sports & recreation...

I think as a lot of people get older they stop caring as much about cars. Especially as your kids age and whatnot. I know I care a lot more about my sport hobbies and real estate right now. Not to mention my young family.

Yeah priorities shift but so did our parents and a lot of them rediscovered their passion for cars when the kids left the nest and they had the time and money to dedicate to their car hobby.

Not having kids is a huge advantage when being a car enthusiast, I have time and money to spend on the things I find important.

I think even if I stop caring about the latest in auto news, I'd still be interested in chatting with you lot.

I already find a lack of interest in the latest news/reviews threads, especially since I literally run a competing outlet. I'm only here to talk about old stuff, read TooScoops' stories, and chat about things like TV shows, watches, everyone's Show&Shines, etc.
