Maxbrakes is a good product?  Never heard of them.

3rd time using them.  Pretty pleased with them!  Price is unbeatable.  Allegedly the same weight and same vane number as OEM rotors. Located in Canada.

I think Blur911 put them on his Cayenne too. (IIRC)

Holy Crap, I can get a kit of front/rear drilled rotors with pads for the Tundra for $222.95

That's ridiculously cheap.  I'm kinda sad now that Toyota overbuilt the brakes on the Tundra that on average last about 115 000kms.  I wanna try these ones, but at this rate, I'll have to wait another 6 years before doing so.

I thought drilled rotors were a bad idea in salt country (and in general, really).

*Shrugs*  I dunno.  Never heard of it, but don't know otherwise.

Regular OEM style rotors are a couple bucks cheaper, then.

yea, i can get a complete set of pads and rotors (all 4 wheels) for about $150 for my Rio5...maybe it doesn't matter, but the warranty isn't as long as what i get from my indie though.

With shipping it was about the same price for similar from Rockauto, thought I'd support a Canadian company in this case.

Also, when I added brakes to my Rockauto order, somehow it moved where some of the other parts were coming from and increased shipping for them as well.

From that website?

And as far as warranty, I don't know that I've ever had to warranty a set of rotors/pads.  Personally speaking, this website is perfect for me, because I'm more than capable of doing my own brake jobs on any vehicles.

I diagnosed the heater blower thing, it comes on high as soon as the key is turned to on.
They say it's a resistor pack controlling speed, but it's actually a transistor in line with the blower motor.   It shorts out and the blower is on high until disconnected.  Odd thing is that Rockauto says the resistor pack is for trucks with simple dial climate control, which I thought mine was, and the transistor amp is for "dial a temperature"  climate control.  Oh well, pay to pull out the actual part and look at it sometimes, I almost ordered the wrong part.

are they just a distributor or do they also manufacture the brake items??...their website doesn't seem to say anything about "made in Canada", so i'm guessing they are just a distributor (and the products are made in China?)?

I still like a very specific combo from RockAuto. But like Blur, a couple times the pads were at warehouse A and the rotors warehouse B so shipping was additional.

Plus Canadian company and fair pricing....and so far happy with them. They even sent me a lengthy reply when I asked about bedding in the pads.

I think they do the coatings and maybe the machining in Canada.
Have been great for the price so far.
