I ordered/reserved a dual motor.   Might upgrade to tri motor if the towing range is >> 300 km with big trailer.

And, why?  Are you going to be buying an RV?  Towing a large trailer on the regular?  So you currently do that?

Or are you just jumping on the bandwagon because you're a Tesla slappie?

He noted in another thread that he and his wife enjoy RV'ing.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Okay, fair enough.

Still don't think it's going to be a suitable truck for pulling an RV unless you're staying within an hour or two of where you live.

It will be interesting to see how quickly the batteries drain when pulling a heavy load.

I don't get this thing. Maybe you need to be a rapper or a baller to want to drive one. YMMV.

I dont get it either. At all.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

As far as towing is concerned, look at TFL and the tow testing they've done with their Model X.  Pulling a relatively small and light trailer, they were getting about a 1/3 of the normal range from the Tesla.

If you want to haul a large, heavy trailer long distances, diesel is still king. Not screwing around stopping every hour to charge, engine braking....this makes no sense.
Lighten up Francis.....

Yes, although in the case of a diesel electric locomotive, the electric part is mostly for transmission driveline purposes, rather than efficiency.  The load on the diesel engines at any given time is commensurate to the load on the electric motors, and hence the generator.

Unlike, say a BEV with Range extender, like the Chevy Volt or the BMW i3, where the load on the gasoline engine can be relatively constant, while the load on the electric motors is constantly varying.

The 800 km long range Cybertruck could lose 1/3 of it's range and still be perfectly suitable for my needs.
