I know the ad says all the stock stuff comes with it. Is it easy to lose all that crap bolted to it? Seems overdone to my grumpy all eyes.

First Sport Classic I've seen listed for sale, for a mere $616,911: https://finder.porsche.com/ca/en-CA/details/porsche-911-sport-classic-preowned-WEZ9ML?order=newest&page=2

Nice car, but first thing I thought was Hot Wheels.

Finally something that will drive over carpet

Let's face it, owning a Porsche is a bucket list item for many car enthusiasts :)

And it was for me since I was about 8 or 10 years old, shortly after the 911 came out. And during high school I talked about owning a 911 one day, but my friend's mom used to say when I was over, "you are dreaming".

Well not really as all it took was an unfortunate incidence in life that makes you think that life can be short or if you saw the Bucket List with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, a copy of the DVD that I own.

So now I own two used 911s; a 1995 Porsche 911 (993 Series) Carrera and a 2015 911 (991.1 Series) Carrera 4 GTS. Both are manuals. I am a "tech" and never made much money so I am not an engineer, doctor, lawyer or business owner. Its a matter of priorities and wearing $10 t-shirts.

During your last 20 seconds, you'll never say "damn, I wish I would have made that meeting".

What you won't find in my car is a coffee, cigarette and a cell phone. What you will find is a driver; imagine that, a driver in a vehicle. What an effing concept!
A car has to do more than just perform; it has to stir your soul!
A true driver's car does not have cup holders.

Yeah, me too. Whatever is on your bucket list though is a good thing to cross off for sure, different for everyone. My brother was more the vehicle guy, I was the travel guy

I think the common idea is to have the financial position and cash on hand to do what you want when you want without having to think about it or get approval for. You want freedom of time and money, that is how I have rolled and it seems to work. When a buddy calls you up and says "let's go dirt biking in Costa Rica next month. You can answer sure without even asking the cost. That is freedom to me.  It also means I tend to be a cheap ass on other affairs like daily drivers etc.

And not have alimony payments as quite a few of my friends have had. One was married 3 times with kids. Some people think with the head above their shoulders, others think with the head between their legs.

Yeah. You most likely think like others here that every Quebec car is two half of cars welded together. I will check undercarriage carefully before making the leap. ;D

Local car, thoughts?

https://www.autotrader.ca/a/porsche/911/moncton/new%20brunswick/19_12731546_/?showcpo=ShowCpo&ncse=no&orup=1_3_3&pc=E3C%200B7&sprx=-2

I like that it's a color and that the interior isn't black, not to mention it's a manual.  Would I be nuts to buy this and drive as my daily driver year round, at least for this and next winter?

Have you tried a 996 Turbo? I like them, but man, I was disappointed when I drove a sorted one last year.
