I think this is worth it.

My 99 was really pure.

This is a really great sports car for not a lot of money.

Are they really only 2400lbs? That's CRAZY light! My 951 was 2900lbs & it was a small car.

I noticed that one too.  Lots of want for that... except for ghastly wheels and silly spoiler appendage.  Both are easy fixes though.  Anyone want to buy a GX460 and MR2?  :D

I don't believe that for a second. Base 996 was about 2900 lbs. I know the very early builds are a bit different but they're not THAT different.

Yeah, 2900 sounds more like it.

I'm digging this one a lot!

The very early 996s are definitely appealing. Cable throttle, no electronic nannies and the earlier 3.4 engine with the dual row IMS bearing. Considering the prices the early 996s go for, it is a lot of car for the money.

Quite rare to find a 6-speed 997.2. I think I heard the take rate on the PDK for the 997.2 cars is something like 75%.

Don't know of this is some weird dry weight figure he conjured up.

But yes, they are under 3,000 pounds..just not that much.

Well it is from a Porsche dealership. I feel like that mitigates a lot of the risk.

True. Porsche does strive for an excellent sales experience.

But in my mind, no dealership is above fuckery if it pads their bottom line in some way...

I guess it is high mileage, so maybe the price reflects that...I really like these black series 997s.

Is that really below market? Seems about right for a base 997.2 although those Black Editions are nicely equipped.
