Thanks everyone. That GT3 looks sweet. I’ll get around to a proper show and shine once I have some time away from work. This car is something special.
I love it when a plan comes together.

Beautiful!!!! A Cayman or Boxster are one of my "attainable" dream cars. A 911 would be the top one.

I know it's not a 911, and I know these Macans depreciate like mad but this seems like a decent deal on a CPO base Macan from a Porcshe dealership with warranty till 2026, no?

That Macan has barely depreciated. Based price was $56,100. This one has about $9k in options.

Of course, a new one is much more expensive.

I tend to think the only modern day Porsche deals you can find out there are on the Panamara.  Seem to be able to find those in decent condition in the $30K range.

Base was $56K in 2020 and jumped to 70K now? Madness.

It's gone up from $56 to $65 over 4 years and a new model cycle, then destination/dealer fees etc that the config shows.  I don't think it's a great deal given the km's and what is essentially almost as base as they come.  It also brings up the question of why you want a Macan, the 4 cyl without any of the performance options isn't going to give performance better than other brands.  I've never driven one so that's only based on reading thousands of reviews and forums.  Something like this with half the km's and a 6 cyl I'm sure would outperform it.  If it's because its a Porsche then that is something different, and I'm not meaning that as a negative, I get it there is something about them.  I've never been a Porsche guy, but getting the first Macan S had me drinking the kool-aid 100%  ;D

That SQ5 is going to be faster for sure but it won't drive quite as nice as the Macan (as someone who has driven both).

This is a good point, We're a 2 car household between the wife and I and am looking to replace our second, occasionally used car that's just needed for local runabouts when the main car is in use and also road trips. Straight line performance isn't important for this car - I remember driving the prev. gen Macan S and though it handled great but was underwhelmed with its acceleration, so I figured why not just get the base and save some coin.

I actually thought this Macan was a decent deal with it's warranty compared to the A5 I drove recently (https://www.autotrader.ca/a/audi/a5/oakville/ontario/5_59245327_on20071017095454819/?showcpo=ShowCpo&ncse=no&ursrc=hl&orup=3_15_55&pc=L5M%206N1&sprx=100). But the A5 was such a let down, nice looking car though. I guess HP is important... SQ5 is a good suggestion, will see if it changes my (admittedly confused) tune.

Yeah the base Macan has a lame engine but still feels pretty good. I maintain that the Macan in any spec is the best driving crossover out there. I had a base Macan press car a couple years ago (last summer?) when the latest one came out, and was blown away at how quiet it was on the highway, how sharp response is is, and how nice it was overall for a "cheap" example.

Just uh... don't get one with the pleb wheels, halogens and no sunroof. That'll be unsellable down the road. The "decent deal" linked above has the Premium Plus pack so a bunch of the nice toys, but good god those wheels are awful.

I'm assuming the base Macan has the EA888?

Friends of mine are on their second S with the base wheels and I agree, you need at least the 20" for it to look good. The RS Spyder design (standard in black on the GTS) is a very nice looking wheel.

LOL completely agree on the wheels though I don't mind since it wont see much seat time. The A5 has a much nicer look to it, but it's no Porsche (even on the gross wheels).

It feels more like a hot hatch than SUV to me.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...
