Well I went fully intending to be getting the demo, but I just didn’t fall in love in person.  I like the red, but didn’t love it on the Macan, and I was disappointed it had the same wheels as my current one.  Maybe they were standard in 2022 but changed with 2023.  They weren’t discounting it much and it had things like Xpel that I don’t need, or at least don’t want to pay for.  Switching up a few options and it turned out to be almost the same price as ordering a new 2024, so that’s what I did.  First time in my life ordering a car!

Exciting! They do drive so well...

Gentian Blue with the red GTS interior, but I have until tomorrow to finalize, hopefully I don’t flip/flop!

They have an allocation for the end of July that they switched to my specs, but they thought it likely it may be longer than that, Aug/Sept.

Thanks!  I have a friend coming to see it this weekend that’s very interested in buying it, but we’ll see if that pans out.

Got a text from the dealership GM: "Your car has lined off the plant and is at the Port of Emden waiting to be loaded onto a vessel."

It lives.

Further update: "Good news, your car is on a vessel and scheduled to arrive in Halifax in a week"

Car landed in Halifax and should be at the dealer next Monday / Tuesday...
I love it when a plan comes together.

Will they let you drive it when it does?

Probably not. And frankly I don't want to until I pay for it and it's registered in my name.

Did you take that picture or did the dealer send it to you?  Looks great man, can't wait to hear about your first drive in your own Porsche.

Dealer. It literally just rolled off the truck. He sent me a video as well. Also mentioned day 1 clock (of 90) starts today. Once it's cleaned up, at proper ride height, and set up at the dealer I'll take a closer look.

So you'll have it by around August 10th, that's not bad at all.  You might get yours before The Hire gets his LC.

This pretty beast was in our parking lot today.  It’s a GT4 and at first I thought it was a manual but I thought all GT4’s were automatic.  No idea who owns it but will run the plates on Monday to see who it belongs to and then make a plan of meeting them and becoming friends so I get a ride in it.

In that first picture you can see my vehicle off in the distance.
