This is the old press car. It was at Georgetown Kia for sale a couple of months ago, and now has ended up in Quebec since they couldn't move it. There is plenty of journalist flatulence in that driver's seat...  ;)

This is interesting, in Winnipeg  https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990-porsche-944-s2-32/?fbclid=IwAR2Bw62dvMkLMYnls2M1VUyjpON0t4NNKjP12pJGEQe_EZ58XyZR54JKaOs

Nice car.
Didn't Arctic Steve have an S2? Or was his just an S?

Interesting car, not sure how well it will do on BAT since it's gonna be hard to get into the US with no title. If a Canadian buyer can be found, that's there best hope with this one. That 3.0 motor was supposed to be quite torquey down low, not as thrilling as the Turbo I had, but apparently more reliable. Most of the major service is done & up to date, so should be hassle free for a few years.

Well that makes it less appealing!  ;D

I really like the green, not sure I'd take the plunge on it though, but there aren't a lot of great options outside of the blacks, whites, grays.  The price also isn't appealing after seeing the MSRP in your article, but they must have done a big jump for 2023 because you can't build one now with those options for $112

Now I see why the price discrepancy, this is a similarly optioned 2023

I'm on the fence of what to do, have been looking at trading in the Macan on a GTS and have the option of getting a 2022 demo with about 7000km's that's spec'd pretty much as I would, or can get on the list for a 2024 (expected late Aug/Sept).  Savings would be about $15-20k depending on unknown price increases.  Any thoughts?

Huh, sounds like a no brainer to me.  If you can get a demo with only 7,000kms on it for a savings of $15-$20K over ordering a 2024, I'd take those savings and run.  The key is, is it spec'd close enough to what you want that you won't feel like you missed out on something key?  That would be the only reason I would wait.

Didn't the 2023 and on GTSs get the previous Turbo engine? Or is that already in the 2022. Plus there were mild styling revisions no?

The change was in 2022 and no changes coming (other than EV) for 2024's

Then it may be a good upgrade. What colour is the 2022? Just curious.

It's spec'd almost identical to what I'd get, a couple very minor differences.  I'm going to see it today, hopefully that will make up my mind.  The big thing for me is colour, there isn't a clear choice on what's available on Macan's that's a "definitely for me".

Carmine is great. Does it have the matching interior trim?

Well I went fully intending to be getting the demo, but I just didn’t fall in love in person.  I like the red, but didn’t love it on the Macan, and I was disappointed it had the same wheels as my current one.  Maybe they were standard in 2022 but changed with 2023.  They weren’t discounting it much and it had things like Xpel that I don’t need, or at least don’t want to pay for.  Switching up a few options and it turned out to be almost the same price as ordering a new 2024, so that’s what I did.  First time in my life ordering a car!
