^^ Yes, that 997 is sweet, and now you can get an updated Porsche PCM with apple carplay to bring tech into this decade. Nice car.

Yep, I think it's great that Porsche offers those PCM upgrades.

A friend of mine was looking at 997s a couple years ago. He's no hardcore enthusiast, but he likes nice cars (has an E450 wagon) and wants something fun and manual. His concern with the 997 was outdated tech which this solves nicely.

Driving the 993 is like driving a car that is decades newer.

Maybe because it is? LOL [emoji38]

3.2 Carrera came in 1984.

993 in 1994.

But I hear ya..3.2 was basically a 70s car.

Exactly. Very long production run for the impact bumper cars from '74 to '89.

That's pretty cool.  I wouldn't want to mess around with aftermarket head units, either.

This is pretty close to the perfect spec for a 997 C2S. Just need to refinish those lobster claws to their original silver. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-porsche-911-carrera-s-coupe-26/

That's my jam.  Curious what it will go for....I'm not in touch with the Porsche market at all.
I'm guessing around $45k...

I was originally thinking $50k, but thought that might be a bit high in USD, so then I figured $45k, guess I need to start paying better attention as I thought the market for these was getting softer.... or maybe wishing it was

I think the market for 997s is quite strong, especially the .2 cars from '09 and up.

Got a text from the dealership GM: "Your car has lined off the plant and is at the Port of Emden waiting to be loaded onto a vessel."

It lives.

Further update: "Good news, your car is on a vessel and scheduled to arrive in Halifax in a week"
I love it when a plan comes together.

Nice.  So should be at the dealer by end of May, then 120 days later in your driveway.

Yeah. 90 at dealer is the agreement. So June, July and August. September will be driving season for me :)

Oh man, that's a great time to get it.  You should definitely plan a few weekend road trips, see the leaves change.

You need to go on one of the PCA fall color tours.

I recommend the one in Michigan.

I'll jump over the Autoport fence and see if I can spot it. ;D
