Got an update from my sale guy. Car should be completed mid-March and here mid-April...then onto the showroom floor.
So you should get the vehicle in June?  That's exciting.

Contract, and my mind, says Aug 31. So if it's any sooner then bonus.
I love it when a plan comes together.

Wow, kudos to you for sticking to a plan.  Had to check that this thread started in Jan 2020.   :o  I don't think I could stick it out for that long, but it has been a weird couple of years interim.

Autumn is peak driving season imo.  :drv2:

Hmmm, I thought they only kept it on the floor for like a month to 6 weeks, but maybe it's 3 months?

There is a mandatory sit in the showroom time, interesting.

As my first post explains, I'm getting "known" in the local ecosystem and not a lot of people here are bilingual enough to run an auction on BaT. So I was contacted to sell on behalf of the owner. Canadian cars are tough on BaT but gems like this one have the potential to sell despite the added paperwork.

It's pretty unique as it's an uber-rare slicktop - no sunroof. The owner is a classic car dealer in the GMA and he purchased this 993 TT in France and took care of its importation. It still has the French plates on it!

Now that this is running I'm getting more requests to host auctions... I have a Jalpa, a R5 Turbo 2, the minty 40th anniversary 'vette seen with this 993 in some pics and others. Even a 1 of 1 50 y.o. Italian coupe that sat in a collection since Day 1. This is a trial run - if bidders can look the other way location-wise, I will be swimming with the sharks some more! By the watch tally I can see as a Seller, I expect a bidding frenzy on final day - we'll see!

Very cool. Bidding... wouldn't mind a 993 Turbo to add to the fleet.  :)

Before I had the time to ask for anything, they offered up a % that works very well for me  :)

Wow. Maybe it is the Porsche way but I surprised at all the stuff that has been replaced on it. Was this thing tracked hard?

Great colour combo, though I don't understand why anyone ever ordered the supple leather seats.

I just think it commuted a lot in the first half of its life - looks too clean to have been tracked.

With the supple leather, no sunroof and high-end stereo, it appears to have been ordered as an "Executive Express", and probably by a tall guy (slicktops have more headroom).
