Why does the car sit at the dealer for 90 days?
That is likely the one allocation the dealer will get, basically a showcase model. The deal is I can buy the car but it has to have a lot of "exclusive options", which is mostly a sweet full leather interior with deviated stitching, and it sits in the dealership for 90 days. The idea is that sales staff can show potential customers what can be done / optioned by Porsche and show them on an actual car. Nobody will drive it and it will mostly sit on the floor locked unless they want to show something particular to a customer.
After that I take possession. This is the only way I'm afraid.
So the dealership can actually dictate to and force the customer to pay for options that they may not want on their car that is custom ordered? What a crazy time in the car industry.
