Really, really high miles. I'm looking for a sub-$100k 911 coupe with a manual, must be black, for an extended family member. Having trouble finding anything 997.2 for this... and would definitely like an S or 4S if possible.
This is darn close enough

Yeah, except it's a Quebec car... but really close otherwise!

Does "Quebec car" apply to Porsche's?

I wouldn't have an issue buying one outta Quebec. My SLK came outta Quebec, all good.

Seems nearly reasonable. 997.2 S, manual, $73,000 asking...high km but still.

https://www.autotrader.ca/a/porsche/911/north%20york/ontario/19_12301936_/?showcpo=ShowCpo&ncse=no&orup=25_100_483&sprx=-2

That's a very nice spec (could do without the black wheels though).

I was just listening to Spike's Car Radio and they had Seinfeld on. One of the listener questions was if he had a hard cap for miles on a Porsche that would prevent him from buying it and he said there wasn't one.
My 86 had 400k+
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

With due diligence of course.

For me, in Quebec, that would be a FULL PPE at at Porsche dealer.

I think I spent about $2500 on PPEs before I found the right 996..

Now asking $69,000

Also, seeing inventory mushroom somewhat, particularly late model at crazy prices...lots of owners wanting to cash in I think.
I love it when a plan comes together.

Saw a 992 GT3 Touring listed by a dealer for "only" $399k. Seems prices are softening somewhat.

Obviously in retrospect I should have invested it in the markets, but sadly I don't have a crystal ball. Plus I really didn't think it would take this long and this investment opportunity is time-sensitive.

Yes, to be clear that's where the money sat...I just don't consider 2-4% pretax, pre-inflation, or whatever is paying out, as high-interest :)

I got mine in a Wealthsimple account in a medium risk fund.  Sure I could take the risk away by putting it into something else, but the way I see it, if it goes up 10+% I’ll have more options and if it goes down 10+% I can choose to delay for a few months or a year and still end up with the car I want.  It’s easy to get at, 5 day wait or less for it to be in the account.  If I need something quick I have a LOC to use until that money gets deposited.
