Red...very red...but I kind of like it and the price is ok actually for the spec. 991.1 GTS Carmine red, full red interior, Burmister...

https://www.autotrader.ca/a/porsche/911/markham/ontario/5_54619145_20201016195724160/?showcpo=ShowCpo&ncse=no&ursrc=hl&orup=22_100_290&sprx=-2

I'd have no issue living with all that red... and it's not too bad of a price when 997.2's are in the same range FFS!! https://www.autotrader.ca/a/porsche/911/smiths%20falls/ontario/5_54443918_20200512183426304/?showcpo=ShowCpo&ncse=no&ursrc=hl&orup=5_15_18&pc=K2C%202H8&sprx=100&modalXS=1

Paying the low KM and manual premium on that one. And it's generally just a good spec with the sport seats and sport chrono.

I don't get that dealer at all - it's about 30 mins west of Ottawa and I drive past it a lot. A "regular" Chrysler/Ram place with a dozen used Porsches, including a $650k GT2??? They've also got a 2004 911 with 100k that they are asking $50k for that's been there well over a year... and that they originally wanted $70k for ... very odd.

Yeah, they have some odd high end cars for a dealership in Smiths Falls.

I've noticed this at several Chrysler / Ram dealers, including the one tooscoops used to work for. Probably just a unique business line they're running. Lot's of spread to be made in high end cars these days.
I love it when a plan comes together.

Seems fair in this market. Reasonably optioned too though not necessarily a super desirable spec.

Not bad...991.1 base, black, manual, 68KM $80,000

https://www.autotrader.ca/a/porsche/911/maple/ontario/19_12234491_/?showcpo=ShowCpo&ncse=no&orup=13_100_310&sprx=-2

Maybe the accident is pushing the price down? But it is a decent value, and not too base really, it has the sport seats, premium package, sport chrono, bose audio, manual, sunroof, nav, so a good combo.

Absolutely. An owner I know always has one or two high end Range Rovers to drive through the winter. Prices them high so they don't move and then finally moves them on in the spring/summer.

It just has the base seats + power, not the sport plus seats.

I thought the ad said 14 way sport seats? No interior pictures, so hard to tell.

With the 991 you could get four seat options in the Carreras:
- sport manual
- sport 14 way power
- sport plus manual
- sport plus adaptive 18 way power

So Porsche calls all the seats "sport" seats, but the reality is you have to go to sport plus to get the more heavily bolstered ones.

Am I wrong to say that a base 911 like this is more of a grand tourer than an all out sports car, so I would be fine with just the regular sports seats with 14 way adjustment.

I like this one too...

https://www.autotrader.ca/a/porsche/911/mississauga/ontario/19_12218359_/?showcpo=ShowCpo&ncse=no&orup=94_100_312&sprx=-2&modalXS=1

So I actually went to see this and take it for a quick spin (991.2 base, PDK, sports exhaust, premium pack, sunroof). We live very close to each other. Firstly, following the text exchange I was expecting to meet some older gentleman. A 30s woman shows up :)

Anyway, she was nice and very enthusiastic about the car and let me take it for a spin. My first time driving a 991.2. Definitely felt more GT than the Cayman. Nicely equipped could make for a great daily. She used it all year round. However, I really think I need a manual.

^^^^That's the first time I've ever seen a 911 with a back seat folded.  I didn't even know the back seats folded like that.  Like, seriously, just how wonderful is the 911?

Yes, it makes for a shelf to put bags and luggage on...it really is a great car. If this one was manual, I could have convinced myself to do something stupid and buy it :)

When it's folded, it's known as a "parcel shelf".

When folded, it allowed us to carry our golf clubs!

911 are pretty darn useable sports cars!
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

It's great. I keep mine folded down at all times to put things. It's nice to toss a backpack, camera bag. etc.

I agree the sport seats plus are better for an all out sports car, but a base model 911 I just feel lean a little more towards a GT car that can do sports car things.  Hence why I would be okay with the regular power sports seats.
