If you're gonna get that spendy, I'd much rather have:

https://www.autotrader.ca/a/lamborghini/gallardo/windsor/ontario/5_53791355_20150817134152041

or

https://www.autotrader.ca/a/mercedes-benz/amg%20gt/toronto/ontario/5_53388876_on20080409114506664

or even

https://www.autotrader.ca/a/ferrari/f355/woodbridge/ontario/5_52192444_on20080130124436742 (albeit wrong 'box)

I don't know. With the exception of maybe the Benz, all are 3rd or 4th cars in the fleet. The Porsche could be a primary driver, dare I even say all year daily.

Are you saying your Porsche will be a daily driver? I bet not!  :rofl2:

Absolutely agree that a lambo would be a 3rd car (including wife's), for sure. But it would make every journey way more special than the Porsche.

A $2K-$3K annual budget for maintenance on a supercar is the norm, I'm fine with that.

I may take you up on that bet...:)

Ha ha, good! Now when are we doing brunch?

Anytime! Get me out of the house lol
I love it when a plan comes together.

That was a lot of FGC's to park together. Maybe disconnect the batteries next time!

The best was that year at the auto show in Detroit.

VW/Audi display caused an electrical fire that shut the show down! LOL [emoji38]

Apparently all of the Porsches that were on this ship have been rescheduled for production. Those are some complex logistics to make that happen so quickly.

Yes and no.

Porsche has been doing one-off Paint To Sample and all manner of special order stuff for a long time (along with being able to schedule your car going down the line when you're there).

So I'd say they're in a good spot to run off a bunch of these lost Porsche as "specials".

Sure, but they have to slot them in with their regular production run as well, and they're already very limited in what they can build vs. what people want.

Damn near perfect 991.1 spec right here: Carrera S, guards red, manual, PASM, sport Chrono, sport exhaust, sport seats plus. Would just prefer silver wheels in this case. But I wouldn't hesitate to buy something like this if I was in the market.

Not too surprising....if you have the means to park some cash you can drive desirable cars for next to no depreciation at the moment.  Perfect example being the guys I work with who have new Suburbans/Yukons perpetually on order.  As soon as their new rig arrives, dealer has someone willing to pay "new car pricing" for their 6-month old truck with 10,000km on it.  You just to be a good enough customer to get priority for an allocation.

Well if you pay $90K for the first one, then trade it in for $90K on the next one, you don't pay any taxes on the second purchase.  So from the sounds of it taxes aren't really an issue when doing this.

$112,800 is what the base price was. This one has probably $15k in options or so. Maybe a bit more.

Exactly.  Everything is run through the dealer's books on trade, so no HST implications.

I just saw an ad for a 1983 911 for $35k, thought that was a pretty good price....then I noticed that was for an engine only. :P
