Congrats Ron! Really happy to see this, thought we'd lost you to the 'I am fine in my Prius' crowd for a bit there....
I am fine with my Prius, as I've always generally had a second car/beater.

I was prepared to hold out until next spring/summer...but I've always like these and they've been on my radar.

And this one was the right mix of condition, mileage and (shockingly) not obscene Covid pricing.

I actually think he should have been asking $5k more based on the car and current market.

So because of that, I jumped on it.
Let me know what your plans are to pick up the car. Would be more than happy to pick you up at the airport & bring you to the car. And have you over for some dinner & drinks if possible. We can get a few of the other Ottawa guys to come over as well.

That kind of sucks.  We have some cheap flights out of Fredericton to Ottawa, I think my wife is going in 8 days and it was something like $175 one way.

Still waiting on Jeff...

I've been keeping my eyes on the '87-89 Carreras, just in case one of the next years is a very "good year".

 ;D

I'd need a very, very, very good year to afford one of those now.   :'(

I know what you mean. I hate the fact that all of the cars I yearned after in my youth, and which were just out of reach in my 30's, are now stupid prices. A Ferrari 348 used to be £30K in the UK just about when I had kids... bloody kids.  :rofl2:

How in the hell can the insurance on the Boxster be less than the Prius?

Maybe the Prius is more common and hence more accidents on record, the breaks and manuverability of the Prius might make it more likely to get into an accident.  That's all I got.

Boss!
Likely age of vehicle and battery vehicles more expensive to repair.

Did you go with Hagerty? I used them for the 951 & now for the SLK as well.

But the value of the Porsche is significantly more than a Prius?

you can't go by that...my brand new $50k Venza was $8 more per year than my 10 year old Kia Rio5 (which is worth 1/10th what the Venza cost).
