Quote from: OliverD on February 27, 2021, 01:39:30 pmThis seems a bit bizarre to me.This '07 C2S sold on BaT for $37k in 2018:Yesterday it sold for $121k:So what you are saying is I should sell all my investments, buy and old 911, and turn it into an off road vehicle and I should double my money in 2 years.

I am actually really digging this one. I'd have to swap out the god awful wood trim on the inside but I love the exterior color and the rims. Has the right transmission. Not a horrible price either, looks fairly clean.https://www.autohebdo.net/a/Porsche/911/Montr%C3%83%C2%A9al/QC/5_50941960_20190528143100417/?loc=H4S1T4&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIi4memcDG7wIVBnmGCh07WQAlEAEYASAJEgI8yvD_BwE
Almost a brown wagon... looks great & optioned quite well. These are quite reliable as far as I remember.

I can see why people still want the older ones. Having said that, the new ones do look much, much better.I think there was a year or two with the new body, but still the old engine? Electric steering, not hydraulic, but from what I’ve read it’s still decent. I wonder what those are going for? That might be the sweet spot for me. V8 all day...Though you could get a stick with the manual

I had no idea they dropped in value like that, what would an equivalent 911 be worth, I'm guessing WAY higher? That's a beautiful spec that still looks like a million bucks, but I have no idea about reliability so I think I'd need to be comfortable with having an additional $10k+ in a "just in case" fund.
Well, more inventory is hitting the market, but asking prices continue to be high. I even noticed some newer high end stuff at Grimsby Chrysler This is definitely not a great year to be buying a used Porsche...
