A lease would probably be around $2k a month. So a lot.

I don't see anything wrong with driving a 4S in the winter.
Hmmm, I wonder how much $30K down payment would take that payment down.  I might be able to convince my wife with a $500 biweekly payment but that would be the max.  Also I noticed that it appears if you go with a Carrara 4 you have to get the PDK.  I'm only interested in a manual.

Putting money down on a lease is never really a good idea.

No, insurance will cover this. But in any case, Porsche leases rarely make financial sense.

Porsche galvanized the bodies and driving the car through a salt bath was part of the test the car went through before being offered for sale.

I'd definitely year round a C4S or a TT!

are you sure though (maybe there is GAP insurance)?...you don't own the car, Porsche does (or whoever handles the leasing), so they get paid for what the car is worth...you're just renting it.

Yes. I think this GAP insurance is standard on leases, otherwise there would be a bunch of people loosing money on leases with any sort of down payment. And have you ever heard something like this happening?

yea, i'm guessing it is mandatory?...i've heard about it, but only as a cautionary tale about leases, not any examples of people who have been in that scenario...although, most people i know buy their cars, not lease them so i haven't really come across it.

I’m thinking CBC marketplace would have done something on that by now :)

Buying a higher mileage Porsche without a PPI?

What could go wrong?

And he lifted the car for the tires...wonder if he had the jack pad inserts? They don't come with the car.

I would too....but would be nervous with that M96 engine.

2010 (987.2) would be the way to go.

Hmmm, makes me wonder if there are any popular engine swap options.  I know with some 911s people have swapped in some IS V8s with success.
