Not talking about the car, it runs conventional anyway.
My point relates more to the Tundra, or somebody else's RX350. You do a $200 oil change every 12 months or 16 000kms (which I think is too long, especially if you do many short trips - it's okay if all you drive is a bunch of highway). Then every 6 months between oil changes, you pay $100 to do an inspection - and they literally do nothing. My argument is, why not just pay the extra $100 and get an oil change every six months, lowering your interval down to 6 months/8000 kms? I mean, if you're driving a >$50k vehicle, why skimp over an extra $100/year?
That being said, since I'm now getting oil changes done at my Indy, and I'm putting less than 6000kms/year on the Tundra, I'll just do an oil change once every 12 months, and it will be fine. But if I was still dailying it with short trips, I'd be going twice a year.
