Yup, but that can all be done at the same time as the IMS.
And you'd think all that would have been done already on a car that old? Clutch could go but the IMS and RM don't need replacing twice do they?
This is my thinking too...At that age and mileage, if it was going to fail it probably has. Doesn't sound like the current owner is an enthusiast type, so if I were looking at this I'd be doing my research to figure out whether the IMS has been done or not. I am also not sure if the IMS was still an issue in 2002? Never really looked to hard at a Porsche, so my knowledge here is a little soft.....Back around 2002 my dad was car shopping between one of these Boxsters, a C5 or a XK8, ended up with an off-lease 99 XK8 that he's still driving today.
