Nice!

Don't really see any green in "Aventurine green" but I like the colour regardless.  :) Looking forward to driving impressions.

Later tonight I’ll take it out on some solo runs and kid rides. Will be awesome with the top down at night in this weather.
I love it when a plan comes together.

- Burmeister stereo (holy crap is it good)
it should be, i think they charge like $6k for it.

EDIT: just looked online...$5360 (which is just over $6k with HST).

Beautiful car buddy, a huge congrats!  I am not there yet myself for purchasing another roadster to replace the S2000, but whenever it happens, I probably will not look at anything further than the Boxster.  Congrats again buddy, I know it's been a long time coming for ya, must feel great to have one in the driveway now!

A few more pictures of the car.

2019 Porsche Boxster GTS ~3,000 km
- Aventurine green
- PDK
- black leather interior
- Burmeister stereo (holy crap is it good)

Ok, time for some impressions / thoughts / comments. Remember, I'm just a regular car guy, have driven only a handful of cars, and this is the first Porsche I've driven; really the first true sports car as well. We did a day trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake, took all the kids out for joy rides, did some solo rides, and took it out for an evening cruise, top down, with the wife.

Overall: Fast, comfortable, easy to drive, very fast, economical, and lastly very, very fast - Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde personality

Comfortable / Easy to drive
- Seats, driving position, ergonomics are top notch
- Both driver and passenger were very relaxed - I could see driving this for hours and getting out refreshed - that good
- Even with 20" wheels, the suspension provides very good damping - its no Cadillac, but for a pure sports car, very good
- When driven gently, as easy to drive as a Civic

Economical
- All that driving (I live in the west end of GTA) and used only half a tank of gas
- Averaged about 8.7L /100 km - not bad

Fast
- Wholly crap!
- Gentle driver, but when you stomp the gas pedal, better hold on and make sure no cars are in front - probably too fast

Other observations:
- Sound: Ok this is the controversial point - flat 4 turbo. Not having driven any other Porsches, I can say the sound is very different from what I'm use to. You know that its a sports car. Very mechanical, in a Harley / VW beatle kind of way. I enjoyed it.
- PDK is fast, economical and fun, but in my view not inline with the mechanical feel of the car - I'd opt for the manual
- Stereo was spectacular, better be for a $5000 option.
- This particular GTS was loaded and in my view had too many options. I'd prefer a more low spec version A manual T or S
- Didn't think I would, but loved open top driving
- Sadly, no room for the dog :( ... means I need to look at 911s, but man I really like the Boxster format

Total cost for the 1 day rental: $394.37 - with great service

Is there space behind the seats in a Cayman for a mid-sized dog or have you got to go whole hog with a 911?

I think there's an additional shelf in the Cayman, but that's neither practical nor safe. I have to tell you though, I'm loving top down driving. In the Boxster, with the top up, it feels like a coupe.

When we dropped off the car at Pfaff, my wife really liked a Chalk 911 GTS Targa, which would be ideal. The only issue with that car is $$$$$ :)

Great update! Good luck getting a good night sleep now.

When we dropped off the car at Pfaff

I thought they dropped it off AND picked it up? Or did you choose to go by the store to look around?

I was mistaken. I think they offer that under the subscription service, but not the rental service. Still, they drop it off at your house, a knowledgeable Pfaff employee goes over the operations of the car (my first Porsche) and he's a car enthusiast as well (has a GT3).

Apparently this is a Porsche Canada service but supported currently by Pfaff. Very hands on as far as communications go.

I may try the 911 next.
