Yeah, nothing wrong with the basic spec but I think it explains the price a bit. Most people are looking for an S with sport chrono, full leather, etc.

That one above in particular I've seen for sale for over 1 year. Base or not, a manual 991 Carrera with only 30,000 km for $69,000 should sell quickly. Maybe its the location, but I think there's more to this car than meets the eye.
I requested the Car fax yesterday but nothing came via email.
Looks to have memory for the seats, Nav and ventilated Seats too.
Normally I would stay away from Quebec stuff but this one warrants closer inspection.

Nice. Keep us posted. I smell an accident. Nice car though.
$40k in damage. Apparently no frame damage. ;D

You'd need to know more.

You could run up $40k pretty easily on a new 911 IMO...especially if the repair was done at one of the Porsche certified places

Unfortunately in Porscheland that's a big blemish and will impact the exit plan / liquidity.

Buy one you'll never want to exit/liquify and you'll never have to care about that.  Just drive it.

This.

If you plan to drive it and keep it for awhile....something like this can make sense.

If you plan only for a couple of years, pass.

I'm currently considering an IS-F that had a big damage bill. But the price is so cheap that I'd buy it and just drive it and enjoy it. Pending a PPI of course.

Still need to be vigilant in your due diligence.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Wonder how much $CAD?

I'm thinking if you don't get your deposit down soon there won't be any stock left this year. Why would anybody pick up a used GT4 when you can get this new for (hopefully) less money.

GT4s have been coming down in price and will continue to do so. They're currently in the $105-120k range.

They need to shove the Golf R engine in a mid-engined chassis and resurrect the 914.
I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

Not unless it's a flat-4.

So in effect I guess they did resurrect the 914, it's called a 4-cylinder Boxster

Why does it need to be a flat four?  924, 944, and 928 didn’t have flat engines.  FIAT X1/9 and Toyota MR2 didn’t have them either - just make a cheap mid-engined car with an ‘off the shelf’ engine from a mainstream manufacturer - heck offer a cheaper version with the standard GTi engine.  The idea is to make something cheaper.

That's not how Porsche rolls.

It needs to be a flat four it it's a reborn 914 IMHO.

They did make something cheaper, the base Boxster.
Why would they want to lessen their profit margin?

We want something cheaper and simpler from Porsche,  Porsche doesn't, they're doing just fine in their price range, no need to dabble in less profitable regions.
Plus, if it had a VW engine it would be a flop just like the 924 was.
