^^^  I think it is only $41,106.34 but I could be off by a couple of pennies.

LEGO Porsche to outlaw 912... yah, a natural progression :)

Would be awesome to try...
I love it when a plan comes together.

I LOVE this colour!  This car would be a beast and nearly bullet proof!  I'm sure no expense was spared in the build...look at the other cars in his garage.

Love, love LOVE it!!

Wow ... have not been looking at moddeed cars, but that is quite the package...

Also saw this one, while tempting I'd be worried about long term reliability, eg has IMS been upgraded to handle extra power.

Has the proper trans .. can that handle the 480HP the supercharged kit puts out though.
Would be fun to go check out - anyone Burnaby way, although the fact that dealer is called "Repo.com" also raises some flags!

The colour is good but the tranny and the beige interior are turnoffs for me.

Cool car and nice project for the owner...but I think you always need to be thinking about the exit strategy with these toys. How easy / quickly would it be to sell? This one could sit for sale for a long time, which is a problem if you need to liquidate into cash.

Ah, good to know .. thanks...

Does that also mean that the risk doesn't increase with std engine power, i.e 3.4, 3.6 and 3.8 "S" and non-"S" versions all the same risk? From what I can tell, the risk is lower on post 2005 (997) cars, but conversely, it's much harder / more expensive to fix than on the 996 models. A 997.2 would be ideal, but they are still significantly more $'s for similar mileage / equipment vs 997.1's

More to do with the type of IMS bearing used, which depends on year, than the engine displacement.

Yup.  Can't see someone spending all that dough on the stroker and not having the IMS updated, but I'd still ask the question.

If you're referring to the Cayman, it said in the ad that ims updated.

And there's a permanent fix available through the aftermarket if the engine it's ever apart.

I watched the Wheeler/Dealer guys doing a permanent fix from the aftermarket , the one with the external oil feed.  Looks so simple on TV with a totally equipped garage.  >:(

That's not the permanent fix...but a wise upgrade. Direct Oil Feed (dof)

Same here.

I have a nice chunk saved up (not quite as much as you) burning a hole in my pocket! [emoji2]

There's a local 2005 Boxster S owned by a guy who owns/runs a German car repair place. IMS done and all maintenance up to date (obviously). Higher mileage...but price reflects that.

Tempting...but not sure I need another convertible.
