Kind of liking this...

It's got some good upgrades & sounds like it's well sorted. Pre-pandemic this was a $65k car though as the tiptronics aren't that desirable, but are bullet proof.

Really? I don't recall 997 Turbos ever being THAT cheap although I do remember when the .2 models were hovering around $100k. Now nice ones are at least 40-50% more.

Yeah, I remember the summer/fall of 2018 when a regular 997.1 could be had for the low $40k range, even seen a few under $40k & Turbos could be found for $65k.

Just checked BAT to see if my memory is going, but there's quite a few in that range at that time (when converting to CDN $).

Each to their own, but I would want a non-modded one.

Same here, but this one seems fairly lightly modded...

Depends on the mods, sounds like he just put a new exhaust and shocks/springs on it and good quality stuff at that, not a deal breaker.
Unless he tracked it, it's never been used to it's potential and is probably a garage queen.

I can recall a very nicely specced 997.1 C2S (guards red, PASM, lobster claws, sport seats, sport chrono) for under $40k a few years ago on AutoTrader. It was for sale forever.

Yeah, would gladly take one for that price right now!

A couple of movie Porsche sold recently. Stupid pricing of course.

A Porsche 911 Turbo that starred in the 1995 hit movie "Bad Boys" went under the hammer over the weekend at Mecum's auction in Kissimmee, Florida, and ended up selling for a substantial $1.43 million.

It's also not surprising considering the arguably more famous Porsche 928 from “Risky Business” sold for as much as $1.98 million at an auction last fall.

I just picked up the Porsche Classic radio with CarPlay for the 964... found out my cost on them is remarkably low.

Am I the only one who likes the 964 way more than the 993?  :-\

I'm pretty sure Singer likes them way more than you do!   :)

But I like the 964 better because it was still a "real" Targa.  The 993 wasn't.

Yeah fair. I'm not a huge fan of the Targa body style, though would 100% have one over a Cabriolet. My '79 SC Targa's look worked because of the huge whale, I think, but even still I prefer a coupe every day of the week.

For the longest time the 993 was easily my favourite 911 but I'm slowly leaning towards the 964. An Arena Red 993 Turbo will always be my dream car but the 964 has such a classic look to it. I showed my wife a pic of a 993 the other day and she felt there was something off about it that she couldn't put her finger on and I told her it was probably the fact that the headlights are not as upright as on earlier 911s and she agreed.

I also love the G-body, but I prefer the more modern/usable personality of the 964. I think I'd get the sh*t kicked out of my body driving a G-body as much as I drive my car...

For the record, the one 993 Turbo I've spent a TON of time driving is a friend's Arena Red model. It's awesome; original owner car with 170k driver kilometres. Something about it just doesn't make my heart throb though...

This is one of my favorite 964's that has ever been listed on BAT (sold back in March 2019), was a well sorted 964 that would have made a great daily driver... only thing missing for me is the sport seats, loved those in my 951!

That’s really really nice. I wouldn’t mind an RS short shifter, actually…
