Findway floor mats
« on: November 28, 2019, 02:39:22 pm »
I read comments last year in this forum about Findway mats, and bookmarked the link. Glad I did.

https://www.findway.ca/index.php?route=common/home

My car is a manual trans and the mats fit precisely with no pedal interference. The driver's mat left side rises up and covers the foot rest. The locking snaps lined up with the OEM carpet anchors exactly. The fit and finish is excellent and there is no reason why you couldn't leave them in the car year round if you wanted too, (or are lazy.  ;D) The mats are surprisingly light weight and flexible, making installation and removal easy.

The only issue I wonder about, is that these mats are a tray design with a flat base. There is no raised tread/rib structure, so it looks like your feet may sitting in a pool of water once the snow melts. if you are in and out of the car several times during a day, you may have a lot water pooling. It is supposed to snow on Sunday, and I will be be driving, so we'll see how effective they are.

I have them in the Golf, can't say enough good things.

I haven't noticed any water pooling.  Seems like it's absorbed into the carpet for the most part.  The fit was much better than the Weathertechs I had in the Mazda5.

The only issue I had was that the pad for the heel by the accelerator lifted up in a corner.  So I glued it down with some blue RTV and it's been good.

I've had those mats for almost 8 years  in my civic. They have been good. In the spring you take them out and put the hose to them.
They are good for the price.

I've had them in my car for 4.5 years now. I love the carpet look and the salt hoses off easily. They definitely feel better than the plasticky weather techs, at less than half price.

The price went up $15 this year but shipping is now free.

Thanks for the heads up on these mats. They look good and are priced great. Too bad I did not know about them when I first got my BMW. I will certainly keep them in mind for my next car.

Looks like newer ones are made with rubber/plastic similar to weathertechs. The ones I had in my MDX were short-pile carpet material.
I guess these ones will have pool of melted snow after getting in and out of the car a few times in a day. I just put a few takeout place napkins down when it gets bad in my forester's floor liner.

Surprisingly, there has been no pooling. The lining of mat is fibrous, so I assume the fibres  are wicking up the moisture. Last week I did experience inner windshield frost the morning after a snowy day. I guess the floor mats were so waterlogged that the car's interior air contained a lot of moisture.

That happens for regular rubber mats as well.

I've had the F518 3D car floor mats (the furry ones) for years now in my SX4. At the time I bought them, I was surprised they even bothered to have mats for my Suzuki, as WeatherTech didn't.

They have a really high lip, although I still put down a garbage bag underneath to make sure no moisture gets through to the floor. The only thing I did was block the 'hook' hole, which does allow moisture through.

Anyone else do the 'ruby slipper heel click' to get excess snow off your boots before putting you feet in the car? Its a great way of minimizing the snow you carry into the mats.

Ditto on the shoe cleaning tap.

I enter the car butt first and keep my feet outside the car to tap clean.  I've been easing off from that and getting in normally now that the nicer weather has arrived.  I've even worn shoes outside!   :o ;D

Ordered a set of floor mats for my KIA Forte from Findway today. Seems I got the last set. The price was great. I hope I like them.

I glad I got mine but I went on the check web site for availability for other cars. It seems their stock is very limited and they have mats for just a few models of each brand. For example for 2019 BMW models they only have products for the X6. Same is true for other car makes. Makes me wonder how viable this company is.

You get it for your car like the product and then tell your friends and they find out there is no product available. This really sucks. How do they expect to stay in business?

Forget I asked. :P    Got to checkout.  All prices USD plus $30 USD shipping to Canada plus 30 day wait.  :-X

Looks like it's WeatherTech @ $175.00 freight in for front floor.  :P

steve we've had husky liners on the focus for... 7 years now. They've held up pretty well though they do come up a bit at the corners now, but that's likely 75% user error (drivers who don't give a fack where they step).

Weathertech higher quality rubber but honestly the huskys have been pretty good and they're typically a good bit cheaper.

Findway is ok too but quality definitely lower.
