2015 Honda Civic EX
« on: September 16, 2019, 09:40:13 am »
Hi there previously had a 2007 Toyota Camry LE tire size was P215/60R16. I now have a 2015 Honda Civic Ex and have P205/55/R16 tires on it. Now since the rims have the same bolt pattern 5x114.3 could I use my winter tire that are on steel rims from my Toyota Camry on my 2015 Honda Civic Ex ? Online shows the Camry LE is 5x114.3 with hub bore of 60.1 and for the Honda Civic Ex shows 5x114.3 with hub bore of 64.1. Would the rims and winter tires from my Camry fit my Honda Civic or just the rims ?

Short answer is no, long answer is maybe.

The Camry has a smaller hub diameter of 60.1, which means that if you have hub-centric wheels, then the wheels won't fit over the hub on the Civic.  If you have Lug-centric wheels (generic), then yes, the wheels will fit.

There is also the issue that the Camry tires are wider and taller than those of the Civic. The Camry tires will have a diameter of 26.1", while the Civic tires have a diameter of 24.9".  Therefore, the Camry tires will be 1" taller, and about .4" wider.

It's possible the extra inch of height won't cause any problems (rubbing), but its also possible that it will.
