I actually really like the look of the TRD Avalon and if I wanted a lux FWD sedan it would be near the top of my list. Excellent value.

Agreed.

Son, you're up around 11. We're going to need you down around a 4, maybe 5 tops.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

I love the Avalon TRD, but I only see saw an official Toyota media release on the Camry TRD coming so far.

around the track, back to back with regular versions.
In the beginning the extra road noise must be caused by crappy asphalt.

Wonder how many they are going to sell and what was the point of this entire exercise. It's still a FWD family sedan.

Probably not many. I know I am in the minority but I would buy one of these before any SUV / CUV.

I had the same question for the people who are driving all of the Sienna SE's in my neighborhood. I guess it's like the overweight guys wearing muscle shirts? :)

Seriously, I'd look at the TRD Avalon as a spicier version of a family car. I think the Camry version will do well (for a sedan).

The generation that grew up modding Civics are now grown up with families. That’s why.

I hear you. But those are usually people who like tinker with factory setup and to mod their cars themselves.
Anyway, nothing wrong with TRD Camry/Avalon, I just need a bit of time to get used to it :)

I might just be getting old, but....

My neighbor has the top shelf Camry (XLE?) white with the red leather interior and the exterior has the black accents. All things considered, man, it's a pretty sweet ride. I feel bad saying it but that's how I feel.

Those white on red with black accents look sick. With the sweet V6 and an 8-speed, that's one heck of a family sedan. I keep nagging my wife to get one but she won't budge. She wants RAV4 Hybrid.

Probably an XSE, the sporty one. Nothing wrong to have a variety of models to choose from. TRD Avalon makes sense (I can't believe I said it) but the TRD Camry's ground clearance might be problematic for winter driving in Canada.

You're right it was an XSE.

If people can drive a 911 or Miata in the winter, this will be no problem.

IKR?  I said this in post #17!

"I've seen a couple of Camry XSE around...with the 2 tone paint scheme.

Looks really good in person...especially the white with black roof one."

For a family sedan it's certainly a decent looking ride.

Sure they can. I drive a RWD Genesis all year round but I wish one some days I didn't have to. A regular camry of this gen looks the same or lower than my car and the TRD is another 1'' closer to the ground.

TRD Camry is listed on toyota.ca but not the Avalon.
